I'm trying to impress a girl.

Wouldn't you have to go into the things tank/pump or something?

I don't know anything about it, but it sounds awesome.

You should video tape it and impress me. I'm not real, but it'd be cool anyway.

Yes, of course. How else would a girl be impressed. And it's a waterfall, so I'm thinking that will mix it up well. I just don't know how much to use. It isn't all that big.

Put some Mentos into it. Make sure the fountain is cola.

One would assume that adding more would only make it more awesome. I can't think of any drawbacks to using what ends up being more than enough.

I don't want to walk in with a load of detergent. And I don't want to go out of my way and buy any.... just using what I have left in my container. I'm thinking of putting it into one of those fast food cups and just pouring it into the waterfall.

My main concern is whether this takes a shitload of detergent or not. I'm afraid I'll dump it in and it will just get a little sudsy.

I'm not trying to make a big deal of this or pull some huge prank. I just want to casually pour some in and say, "Hey, check out those bubbles I made."

The amount you'd need would vary based on the size of the fountain...

post pics of the fountain.

I would say about half that (semicircle) and a bit deeper. With a waterfall that falls from the stairs.

how tall a waterfall? I'm trying to get an idea of what volume of water is in the fountain.

10 feet or so... maybe. It falls from below the second floor.

I'm going to pretend I have a clue what the hell I'm talking about and say it sounds like you're going to need at least 20 ounces of detergent. You could always just get a bottle of dish soap at the store for like 2.50 and use that.

and if this is indoors, I wouldn't do it at all. If the suds overflow (which they nearly certainly will) you run the risk of causing damage to the floor and surrounding area, which will be really expensive to fix, or at a minimum, time consuming to clean.
