I'm thinking about learning. Anybody ever been?
Grimes
What's to learn? Jump out, pull cord, hope silverware doesn't fly out instead of the parachute, land like a man.

The silverware part is the hardest part to get over.

Sometimes it's lube and dildos.

I've been once, a few years ago. It was okay. It was my buddy's birthday, and it cost each person $100 to go. We were kind of drunk, but not that much.

I mean, it was pretty fun, but not as great as I expected. It was cool when we first jumped out of the plane, and there was a nice view, but I actually prefer snowboarding to free falling. I'd say it's definitely worth going once, and then depending on how much you like it you might want to get into it.

e: all of my friends really enjoyed it, though. i was kind of the odd one out when i said mehhhh

Well I've been bungie jumping and loved that so hopefully I'll like this. A friend of mine has made over 150 jumps, and she said she'll come out and jump with me while I'm learning. Only problem is I found out the other day that I need to lose about 20lbs to jump so it wont be happening for a few more months.

Oh yeah. When I went they said it would cost like five extra dollars for every pound you are over 200. My buddy was about 195 when we went and his guy (I assume you zany Aussies have the same system we have where you are strapped to an experienced jumper) was complaining about how difficult it was to maneuver with him.

i did a jump with a guy strapped to my back a few years ago. nothing to learn for that jump. just watch a quick vid while you sign the forms.

i did it in santa barbera with a great view of the ocean and mountains. crazy fun to do, but i dont really care if i ever do it again.
