I fucking hate this pick. There are so many more deserving candidates.
BEAUTIFUL BEAN FOOTAGE
Why? They won 9 in a row mostly due to him.
Zebrahead

DeAngelo Williams should have won. He had a beast of a season.
The Clown
Chad Pennington should have won. No other player turned a 1-15 club into a playoff club.

They also went 4-4 in the first half mostly due to him. I'm sorry, but one strong half does not an MVP make.

If Peyton Manning's name wasn't Peyton Manning, the award would have gone to Chad Pennington, DeAngelo Williams or Adrian Peterson. Probably Pennington if his name wasn't Chad Pennington.

The NFL is a pure politics league. Peyton Manning has the reputation of the best QB since Marino, so the media sees him in rose-tinted goggles. There's always an excuse when he plays poorly, and when he plays well it's because he's Peyton Manning.

Chad Pennington has the reputation of an injury-ridden QB that can't throw deep. When he does well, it's always because the team around him is good, and he's a game-manager. When he does poorly, it's to be expected of him.

Pennington should have gotten MVP. Kerry Collins should have gotten comeback player of the year. Peyton Manning could MAYBE get offensive player of the year, but I'd give that one to Peterson.

This. Fucking. This.
Trogdor the Burninator
pennington or matt ryan or even peterson could be argued but peyton manning is a punk bitch.
The Clown
Matt Ryan would be a good candidate, but you knew he wasn't going to get it. Rookies don't get MVP. The best they can do is rookie of the year, and Ryan got that. In my opinion, the only award they've gotten right this year.

9 in a row means nothing. Look at those 9 games.

Beat NE at home 18-15. (Good, not impressive)
Beat Pitt on the road 24-20. (Impressive)
Beat Houston 33-27 at home. (Should of won by more)
Beat San Diego 23-20 on the road. (This is when the chargers were 4-7. Not impressive)
Beat Cleveland 10-6 on the road. (Are you kidding me? That's it?)
Beat Cincy 35-3 at home. (About time they blew out a shitty team)
Beat Detroit 31-21 on the road. (They almost lost this game.)
Beat Jacksonville 31-24 on the road. (Again, jacksonville was what this year?)
Beat Tennessee scrubs with their scrubs 24-0. Doesn't count when Jim Sorgi leads in passing with 178 yards.

I see 3 good wins out of those nine games.

I say Peterson.

Ryan is waaaay overrated, and should take notes from Kurt Warner.

For a rookie, Ryan has had an impressive year. Not the best ever by a rookie, and not the best compared to the veterans, but he's absolutely had a solid rookie season, and a big part of the Falcons improvement is the consistency Matt Ryan provides at QB that they were lacking last year.
Frankie G
How DeAngelo Williams didn't even get a vote is beyond me. Look at his fucking stats. 18 rushing TD's, 1515 yds on 273 carries, 5.54 yds per and 0 fumbles on rushes. D Wil, Jacobs and Ward of the giants were the only ones to break 5 yds per carry. Add on his 121 receiving yards and 2 rec td and he had a hell of a year. Imagine what he could of done if he had 300 touches? Peterson had 245 more yards on 90 more touches.

The dude can only improve. He came in from a pro-style offense and managed the game well and is DEFINITELY a solid reason for the Falcon's comeback to being a playoff team.

LOL, Manning, Turner, AP and Pennington all lost in the first round.

Guess DeAngelo should've won MVP after all.

Maybe. Nothing saying the Panthers won't lose their first game.

This. I think the Panthers are the better team, but if they don't show up to play hard the Cardinals can upset them.
