2009 is the perfect year to fix that! If you don't want to buy books or use the library, you can download ebooks anywhere. Shit, I will supply you with links if you don't want to look for them yourself.

Resources aren't the problem, it's just that very few books interest me.

I used to read a couple hundred books a year easy. The last two years together I think I read about twenty. I'll give it a shot, again, but I know I won't make it, again. I did read about five books in the last couple of months, though, which is way more than any similar block of time in the last few years.

Michelle, do you think you can find me a link to the original short story version of Flowers for Algernon? I searched for it everywhere, but couldn't find it.
On topic, while it won't be 52 I will be reading a lot of books this year. coming from the library first is going to be a re-read of Ender's Game, because I remember loving it.

I can try. I get all of my ebooks from either LL or links to ebook sites posted on LL. I'll look around before I go to bed later.
Also, the book club thing is cool but I'd hope for something that we can find as a free (or illegal lol) ebook because that's basically the only access I have to books these days.

Right then, first book of the year for me is A is for Alibi by Sue Grafton. I'm not really excited about reading her alphabet series but beggars can't be choosers!
http://www.truly-free.org/ has Flowers for Algernon, but I'm not sure if it's the short story or not, cuz I've already downloaded as much as I can from this site for now. I suspect it's the full novel, but you should check anyway. Aside from that, I checked over 30 sites and couldn't find it. Not on LL either. Sorry.

I'll keep an eye out.

It's exactly what I was looking for after reading the first few parts of it.
One thing though, reading it in notepad kind of sucks. Any suggestions to make it a bit more bearable?
And thanks so much <3

I'm not sure, I've never really looked into changing ebook formats. Maybe look up how to convert something to a .lit file? You have to download Microsoft Reader to read a .lit , but it's free and it's amazing.
Also, poopington...dunno if you'd rather have the physical book but...
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WAEFK7G5That link is a download to every Animorphs book ever released. That includes books 1-54, Megamorphs 1-4, the Andalite, Visser, Ellimist, and Hork Bajir Chronicles, and Alternamorphs 1 and 2. I downloaded it from luelinks and re-uploaded it without a password. They're all in PDF, and I didn't open any of them, but I know the link would have been deleted from LL if it was shit, and it's been up for over a year.
The books were taken from
http://animorphsforum.com/ebooks/You can also get individual books from there, as well.

Hahahahahahahahahaha
Thanks a lot.
I've already requested the first ~20 from the library, though (>_>), and I think the Sac area system has all of them. I'm downloading that anyway though in case something happens to the world's paper, and because I want it for the coolness factor. I do definitely prefer having the real book. The only book I've read on the screen was Deathly Hallows, and that wasn't as much of a bitch as I thought it would be, but obviously a book is cooler.
Man, I always see shit like that and wish I'd known about those LUE signups. Or is it still possible to buy a LL account? I'd probably only want one for the filesharing, because LUE as I remember it was kind of a shithole.

I like holding the actual book better as well, but ebooks are definitely very convenient. Especially since I owe 25 bucks to the libary.

They said I completely destroyed a book. Lies.

I have destroyed so many books. But my mom works at the library. And I work at my school library. So either place I can hide the evidence and break all the rules.
