it's basically a poor man's bourne movie
shaky camera like crazy, no plot whatsoever, shitloads of michael bay style action, and characters you don't really care about at all
it sucks really bad

i wouldn't know because we got Appaloosa instead lol
i want to see it on a big screen if i see it at all, the bond series isn't a big enough deal to me that i'll remember to go out of my way to see it when it goes to dvd
though it may give me a massive headache if it employs the paul greengrass shaky cam style

I liked it a lot.
The only Bourne movie I saw was the first one, which was okay.
I just thought it was bitchin' action and I like Craig's Bond. I don't watch Bond movies for the plots, really. I don't think these new Bond movies are very much like the rest, but I still like them a lot as action movies.

I saw it tonight and I liked it a lot too. Many of the previous Bonds have been very cheesy (for example: Bond just nearly escapes being burned to death and then throws his enemy into the flames. Bond then looks at his sexy dame and says "Wow. I'm on fire tonight" *wink*). I like how Craig is such a bad-ass and rarely says stupid shit in crazy situations. Craig's Bond is to the Bond movies as Bale is to the Batman series.
As poopington said, I don't go see Bond movies for the plot. I go see them for the stylized, secret-agent action which this movie delivered on.

This isn't even close to Nolan's Batman. Nolan took it and turned Dark Knight into one of the greatest movie experiences ever. The new Bond series, even from positive reviewers isn't at that level.
And this wasn't a spy/secret agent movie, it was an action flick. Bond didn't do any real spy work in this besides the opera scene which ripped off Godfather III.

I'm not saying this movie equals the greatness of Nolan's movies by any means. I meant just like how Nolan stopped the corny bullshit in the Batman series, Craig's Bond put a more adult spin on things. You're right. There was no spy shit in this movie in the traditional Bond sense. Craig is a spy and tracks people down. That's it. He doesn't own an invisible car like Pierce Brosnan does. I guess the director wanted to actually try and make this movie seem plausible.
At least they're trying. This movie did not blow me away. I'm just happy to see Bond isn't turning into a cartoon, because the series sure as hell was on its way to becoming that.

It was okay. Casino Royale was much better, but I like the reinvented Daniel Craig Bond much more than the previous series, except 60s Connery. The plot gave us absolutely nothing though. I want some fucking resolution to the last one, not ambiguous bullshit that will be explained in the next one.

I assume Quantum is the new SPECTRE, meaning the big bad guy syndicate.
But the movie never does explain it, because there's no plot.

It's not the worst. I thought it was decent.
