So, one day awhile ago I got really fucked up and ended up sectioning my harddrive into two seperate drives (drive c and drive d). Drive c has my windows on it and for some reason it only has 8 gigs of space. All the other space is on drive d (which was fine at first) but now drive c is filled up and it's causing a lot of things not to work right.

So my question is, can you combine the two drives back into one and how? Thanks.

as far as i know it's really difficult without formating and starting over but people usually recommend you buy a professional program to do it

so format if you can stand to i guess

Are you using XP or Vista? If XP, then download Partition Magic. Vista has the capability to resize partitions built in.

Thanks guys.

I found out how to do it, sadly, it wont work though. Looks like I'm just gonna have to reinstall windows into the other drive and just get rid of, or ignore, the c drive. Crap.

Just put all your crap on the D drive...that's what I've done for a loooong time.

enKrypt is right to a degree, but if your drive is full of system files or installed programs you will likely have some difficulty. One option is to uninstall some of your installed program and reinstall them to a directory on your D drive. Also, I've read that Paragon's Partition Manager works with Vista..I'm not really speaking from firsthand experience with this app since I do 90% of my computing on *nix, but it's worth a shot.

Yeah, I got a partition manager that works, well sorta. No matter what I can't expand drive c at all. Oh well. Thanks anyways morm.
