I personally like:
In-n-Out
Sonic
Jack in the Box (only one that's 24 hours in my area)

Gourmet Heaven. It is amazing. And it's not fast food, so that's a nice plus.

If I'm going to eat at 3 in the morning, I want something as greasy as possible. I'll choose McDonalds over anything. Nothing like eating a quarter pounder after leaving a club smelling like smoke and vagina sweat.

St. Cloud doesn't even have a Denny's but there's like 4 or 5 Perkins.

There are a few non-chain places around here. Those are all awesome until the drunk/high scene kids come in and smoke camel 9's.
Almost all the fast food places around here are 24 hours, but I would have to say that McDonalds was the best. They had this thing called Midnight Madness from 12-3. Really cheap food.
Like 20 nuggets for 2 bucks.

I gotta say, I had Jack in the Box for the first time in like 15 years last night, and the ciabatta burger there is so fucking good.

I just went to Jack last night because I wanted those 2 for a $1 tacos. I accidentally said "four monster tacos" and it came out to $5.56 instead of the $2 I had in mind. They were still the grease-filled monstrosities I wanted but I paid 3 bucks more than I wanted to.

When it's 3 in the morning, and you're coming back from a party, Jack in the Box is there.

I've got a chinese place, a good pizza restaurant, a burger place and Jimmy John's within walking distance that are all open until 3, but honestly I wouldn't consider 3 AM to really be all that late. There's a George Webb's two blocks from my house that's pretty much my go-to late night food supply. You can never be too drunk, too high or too just plain crazy for Webb's. My roommate actually ran into the usual late shift cook from there one day and he came back and smoked with us, man rolled the tightest blunt I've ever seen.
There's also a better 24 hr diner a few blocks further away than that, Ma Fischer's, that's slightly more expensive but has drastically better food and larger portions, but it's further and a little less relaxed inside

You should try your mother's house. She makes pretty good food after all the late night sex and whatnot.
