Here's something fun to debate.

Would it be better or worse for us if you could only vote if you are a land, or business owner?

Backstory:
I drive cab for a living now, and a guy and I discussed this topic for about half an hour before he got out of my cab, and I thought it was a VERY interesting thought.

His points were that:
1) welfare moms rent, who of course always vote for more welfare.
2) If you rent you aren't actually paying property taxes, and have no right to vote on it.. (even though I informed him he was wrong)
3) The business, and land owners should run this country anyway, it's just better that way.

It's simple, unless you own a house, farm, or business, you can not vote.

I wasn't posting here to be a proponent of this voting system.

I wanted some feedback from you guys as to why, or why not this would/wouldn't work so well.

Anyway, there's just no point in discussing it. It's...retarded. There're no upsides to it, only inequality on an arbitrary basis.

And people wonder why this board is dying...

1. Nobody wonders that.

2. This topic doesn't really warrant "intelligent discussion," so the responses you're getting here make sense.
