Just saw Se7en for the first time. Even though I knew part of the ending, it still completely rocked me. Yeah, the topic title was really just an excuse for me to make a topic on it, but it's still the main point.

Well considering that pretty much every thread in this board are all on recent theatrical releases...yeah, it does seem old. Plus it is 13 years old now, though you really wouldn't know it at all from the look of it.

Just started watching Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd movies.

Se7en is an old, classic flick? Its like a little more than 10 years old. You must think Raiders of the Lost ark is a fucking black and white silent film.

I've been on a Steve McQueen kick as of the past few months. The Getaway and Bullitt are awesome.

All I've seen so far is Safety Last and a few shorts, but Safety Last was hilarious.

Steve McQueen is big pimpin'. Never seen either of those, though. I looked into Bullitt a while ago, but I couldn't get my hands on it.

Man, I wish I could watch more movies. I used to watchso many, back when I didn't work or go to school. I still watch a lot more than most people, but there was a quarter year there when I saw about a hundred movies a month. I don't need to watch that many...but I'd still like to see more.

Again, I'm using old as a term for anything that's not a new release, since that's all we talk about here. I wish people would goddamn read.

i watched three movies a day last summer but this summer it seemed like too much work, so i'm kind of aiming for two a day [managing pretty well so far]

as for harold lloyd my favorites so far are A Sailor-Made Man and Safety Last; a lot of people aren't big on the former because it's "more about the comedy than characters" but its comedy is really clever and funny

i also saw a sound film called Movie Crazy that has him in it and it's really weird seeing him talk; best part is an extended fight near the end that has no talking, so silent film was definitely his forte

also i would call movies that are longer than 10 years ago old and i would probably call some movies more recent than that "classics" so i don't see what the big deal is

edit: actually i'm going to pin this topic. even though it probably wouldn't fall off the first page anyway i don't see the harm in it and it might encourage the few who do come here to post about older movies they're excited about
