Ron Paul has said numerous times that he would not run as anything but a Republican. The fact that people are still shocked that he isn't the libertarian candidate astounds me.
I agree with the socialist platform, but Brian Moore isn't on the ballot in my state, and in addition is a fucking idiot. It also doesn't help that all he does is say "what we need to do" without laying out any plans to actually do it.
Obama is getting my vote, and I'm excited that in my first election I'll get to vote for a candidate that I actually like rather than supporting the lesser of two evils.

I work at a democratic party telemarketing center and I have talked to a lot of people who supported Clinton and because they are butthurt about her losing, they are voting for McCain.
Anyone who votes for McCain is an IDIOT and anyone who was a Democrat and then voted for McCain is a RETARD.

Around primary time, CNN was fond of showing a statistic that said that in 2000 something like 85% of McCain supporters said they would vote for Gore after Bush won the nomination, but when the actual general election rolled around, only like 5% of them actually did.

I don't pay attention to the polls too much. It wasn't awhile ago that Obama had a 12 point lead and all the democrats I knew were bragging that it will be a landslide. Now it's within the margin of error in an LA Times poll and Reuters has McCain winning by 5 points.

It's because the Libertarian label was the source of his fame. He was known as the Libertarian running as the crazy Republican, and switching parties (Like Joe Lieberman) was in his best interest.

I can't remember the last White House candidate with integrity. That word doesn't exist in politics.
I just want a candidate I can feel good about getting behind, and I wouldn't go anywhere near either Obama or McCain. It has nothing to do with wanting anarchy.

Picking Palin makes so much sense when it comes to winning the election. Palin is a female who may attract Hillary's supporters. Not the extreme feminists but the ones in rural America such as Ohio or Pennsylvania. Palin's biggest weakness is also Obama's so if Obama criticizes Palin then he hurts himself too. It also stole whatever Obamamentum that was coming from the DNC completely.

Palin actually does a better job of attracting white men, as opposed to women.
As for biggest weaknesses, I'll argue that Obama has more experience than Palin. All Palin learned to do was get federal funding in sparsely populated areas; some of which McCain himself even fought against. Not that experience counts for as much as we wish it did: We have some experienced guys in the white house fucking everything up. I can think of many "experienced" people whose judgment I wouldn't trust.

Oh, snap, I wasn't even aware of the taxing health benefits as income. McCain gets the best health care ever, courtesy of the government, but doesn't want to even attempt having half the benefits for everyone else. If you're getting taxed $100 a month for better or equal health care that costs $200 in the private sector, it's win-win.
