I have been out of touch with pc technology for quite some time now (almost 6 years) and have completely fallen out of knowing what lines of graphics cards are the cream of the crop (the last graphics card i chose to put in a computer was the radeon 9800XT.)

so now im in the market for a gaming laptop, and I know there is a topic about it in here but graphics cards arent really discussed much in there. I'm just looking for something that will run games at mid-high settings and still be economically priced. Definitely leaning towards higher performance rather than middle of the road, I just probably can't afford top end at this point.

From what I understand you are basically limited to the cards offered by whatever brand laptop you choose. It would help if you could say your budget and/or what brand laptop you are leaning towards.
