Freakonomics won't blow your mind (well, it shouldn't) but it will at least make you give a grunt of recognition/bewilderment at some parts.

Yes yes yes I've been meaning to read some borges but he always slipped my mind when I was at the library.
Read Hot Water Music by Charles Bukowski. It's pretty pimpin'. Bukowski is by far my favorite prose producer.
