sure the red wings get #1 in the regular season basically every year and collapse in the playoffs, but last nights game looked just like one they mighta lost last year, tied 1-1 into the third, and they owned it. plus they got rough did you see that elbow hit

anyway i think the wings can take it all.. as long as they don't have to play anaheim or san jose... ... well... :Q

Wings are looking good, but the Pens aren't willing to give up. Regardless of the outcome, this game is an instant classic. Fleury and Osgood are looking as good as goalies possibly can, and Fleury is looking spectacular in OT.

wings played hard and perfect through a few overtimes
both teams got tired... shots were 4-4 in 3OT

you can't really equate a sudden death goal on a 4 on 5 in the third overtime to a wings choke

that last penalty had to be called though, and it was a good call
and pens and Sykora took advantage of it (even if the deflection off the refs ass setup the shot!!) and osgood couldnt do anything to stop it

honestly though i'm amazed at Fleury tonight in OT, he totally won this game for them. wings had so many chances and fleury had so many great saves that i just couldnt believe

anyway lets see wings come out in game 6 the way they did starting the 3rd period and the cup will be hoisted on wednesday

funny how 30 seconds left in the third with detroit ready to raise the cup turned into hours of clock time and a game 6 in the pitts
