I got the ffdshow codec too, and everything was just fine. I haven't played a .rm file in a while, but when I go to play it, it says it cannot render it. Usually, when I go to play them, a ffdshow button would appear in the taskbar, but it isn't. Is this an ffdshow problem or a media player classic problem?

sounds like an ffdshow problem. I'd uninstall that shit, then reinstall it.
