The Clown
Bay's first game: walk, come around to score, triple, score winning run.
Second game: Three-run homer.

Pretty "clutch" performing, Frankie.

Also, I have a scouting report of the players the Pirates acquired on my blog. Link is in the sig.
Frankie G
It's Oakland. That's not high pressure. Let him play against the Yankees or Angels or Rays and see how he holds under the pressure. Clutch has to do with high pressure situations.
Scorched Earth Policy
Clutch is just a vague, over valued concept used by meathead fans

That.

Also, I think you just don't want to admit that Jason Bay is actually pretty good.

Also, you don't call "playing in your first game in the national fucking spotlight for one of the biggest teams with one of the most passionate fanbases in the major leagues, and then scoring both of your new team's runs" being in a high pressure situation?
Frankie G
I have no problem admitting Jason Bay is good. He's very good. But he is nowhere near manny. I hate manny, but he is an allstar. He affects the outcome of a game with just his presence in a lineup.
The Clown
Yeah, for sure he's not Manny, I just feel like you aren't giving him enough credit.
Frankie G
On a scale of 1-100 Manny is like a 96 and Jason Bay i'd say is 84-86.
Scorched Earth Policy
Certainly its a bit of a down grade, but Manny is starting to show some natural decline due to age and his clubhouse behavior had gotten just too bad that even his teammates couldn't stomach him anymore and that was what caused Theo Epstein to pull the trigger on trading him. I think you are slightly overvaluing Manny at this stage in his career.

With no more Curt Schilling and Manny on the payroll the Red Sox have some extra money to toss around during the offseason.
Scorched Earth Policy
Big surprise, Joba lands on the DL. If the Yankees expect him to be a starter for the rest of his career, this is probably going to happen quite a bit. Hes had a history of shoulder problems through out his career to prior making it to the bigs. I think he should be the closer of the future for them to protect his arm.

also Jason Schmidt doesn't look like is going to come back this season. Hes been a great investment for the dodgers along with Andruw Jones.
Scorched Earth Policy
Brandon Webb looks like he is on track to win 23 to 25 games this season

thats cwazy
Frankie G
The Rockies are not doing this again. They are 12-5 over their last 17 and the Diamondbacks are fading. They are only 5 back. Don't tell me the Rockies are going to do it again.
Svyatogornyj
I'd take Dodgers/Rockies over Dbacks in a heartbeat. Fuck Arizona.
Granted, we didn't face Sabbathia and got lucky with Sheets' injury, but the bats are hot and I feel confident in holding back Philly this year. That NYM bullpen just makes me shudder though.

It's a long season. Remember how the Yankees started last year? Detroit will still make the playoffs, and probably with an impressive record.

I'll give you that they're overrated and over-aged, but I guarantee the Tigers will make the postseason on at least a wild card this year.

I totally should have bet you over this
Svyatogornyj
With the Tigers line-up, they should've made the playoffs.
Svyatogornyj
The Mets are ridiculous. Thank God the Brewers have been fucking up.
Frankie G
LOL Mets
The President
LOL METS INDEED

HOLD MO HOLD

WHITE SOX ARE IN!

I don't know how long they will last in the playoffs though. Most of their pitching staff has been working on 3 days of rest, Vazquez is starting the game against the Rays and has completely sucked down the stretch and in September, other than Thornton and Jenks the bullpen has really been sucking and they cant pitch every fucking game, and they are still without their best offensive player Carlos Quentin.
Svyatogornyj
That game was great. Good AL teams this year, minus the stupid fucking Rays.
The President
Rays rule.
Tiz
a cubs sweep is upon us!!!!
The Clown
So...does anyone still wanna debate Bay's clutch hitting?
Himura Kenshin
Come on Rays sad.gif

Lol Boston
YoungWhipperSnapper
That game was so intense. From 7th inning on I was glued to my TV and I find baseball to be boring.

No joke man. I absolutely love baseball, but there was just something different about this game from the 7th on.
The President
Fucking LOL to Boston.
Tiz
go rays
Scorched Earth Policy
I don't get why the Rays decided to leave Hinske off their playoff roster
