Sounds like he's got a fairly level head about the situation, assuming that's how he truly feels. About time we got an answer.

O o ooooo, o o ooooo, the right stuff.

Who cares. We wanted him, sure, but we already got Harper and Thomas (both 4 stars and currently enrolled and practicing on campus), not to mention Roper, Costa and Cooper are fighting it out for the job as returnees. Adding Pryor in as a sixth wheel would screw up the unity of the program by putting a me-first guy in the mix.

I'm glad the drama is over though. He better be prepared for Buckeye fans to turn on him fast if he doesn't produce though. I wonder if they expect him to beat out Boeckman.

I doubt it. Boeckman is a proven Senior who helped lead his team to the National Championship. I imagine they might try to get Pryor in on some situations to get him familiar with the offense and such. But I seriously doubt they'll expect him to waltz in and take the starting job as a freshman.

If he's good enough...I see it all the time in sports.

Our fans have no expectations. I hope he's redshirted. Let him develop a bit longer. Todd Boeckman is going to be great next year and win us a 4th straight big ten title. And if we want an option QB, Henton is getting the experience on the bench that Boeckman got behind Troy Smith. I want to see HEnton play more than Pryor to be honest. Pryor 2-3 years down the line maybe.

I seriously doubt he or the fans will wait that long.

I don't know what your fans are like in Oregon, but it's not like professional sports where we paid some exorbitant price for the guy. There's no rush for us to see him play, and no one's going to turn on him.

If you read the article I linked, he's clearly eager to play, and the speculation on the situation gives a pretty solid scenario. He wants to play, and I think he's perfectly capable of getting some training in this coming season and beating out Henton for the starting spot in the 2009 season.

You're right on him possibly not wanting to wait that long. But I think the Buckeyes have a legit shot...honestly better than anyone to win the National Championship next year.

I'm totally cool with waiting. Ohio State fans don't care who is doing the winning on the field. Grimes is right about not caring to see the stars. IN fact Ohio State fans often latch to the least talented players that make a diffierence. AJ Hawk wasn't supposed to be anything big, but a few mega hits early in his career helped his status at OSU. Same with Brian Hartline putting on a hit on a kick returner when he was only special teams 2 or 3 years back.

Pryor is the least of my concerns about the Buckeyes next year.....there's still all three Wideouts, Boeckman, Beanie wells, Brandon Saine....the whole defense (minus Vernon). THe more I got to think about the whole pryor situation over the last month or so, the more I realized it wasn't a big deal if he ever came.

Only time I should see him get is the amount of time they a lot to red shirts so he can get some experience.

I hope you Ohio State fans are prepared for the baggage Pryor will bring along. He's a headcase.

Dude...there's no such thing as a headcase if you're a football player at OSU.

Maurice Claurett was a headcase. And then he was gone. If Tressel even gets a whiff of Pryor trying to disrupt the Buckeye's flow, he'll be kicked out and sent up north to...to...fuck what's that state called? Anyway, what I'm getting at is college coaches don't put up "head cases." He'll fall in line.
kyle
Tressel sent Clarett "up north" because the guy was nothing more than a criminal. If all indications are correct, the most you'll see Pryor doing is yelling at coaches on the sidelines or something like that. Maybe he'll pull an O.J. Mayo and get his act together when he's in college.
