What'd you all think of the first episode?

I wasn't impressed but it had some decent moments to it. Seems like they tried to think of whatever they could to indirectly pass on the message of the episode about AIDS though.

"I'm not just sure, I'm HIV Positive."

I laughed. South Park is never bad.
lob
money cures aids!
merriweatherpostpavillion
I turned it off. I HATE episodes that are mainly about Kyle and Cartman fighting. The whole "Jew/fat-ass" skit got old after about the fifth season. South Park still remains one of my favorites comedy series, but I feel like it's beginning to get crappy. Maybe only 3 episodes of each season are really good...the others are either decent or just plain boring.
Feern
lies
Asuka
Yeah, I really didn't think the premise was that great.
Corpus
I didn't even realize it was a new episode. It felt like an old idea. It didn't keep my attention at all.
Scorched Earth Policy
It was fun but I think the series has started to go downhill since the 9th season.

AIDSBURGER IN PARADISE!
Loveless Aardvark
It was OK. I laughed every time Cartman said "HIV positive".
Da Bears
I thought the HIV Positive episode was classic. I loved when they brought in Magic Johnson.

The one last night about Brittney was kind of meh. I mean it's one of the few episodes I agree with the message, (I don't care for Spears at all...but seriously people should just leave her the fuck alone....not because I care for her....but she's not news!) but there wasn't any Cartman or anything.

Has anyone else noticed that Butters has been appearing as the 4th to the group a lot more often than Kenny recently? I do like Butters better....but Kenny should be the 4th. I could be mistaken if Kenny is dead dead at the moment, but I'm pretty sure he should be a live.
Loveless Aardvark
I didn't care for the Spears episode. What movie were they parodying?
kyle
I wish South Park would just quit with the fucking messages, every time there's a big "message" the episode usually blows.

Yea, I didn't understand the chants and what not....I'm curious on what movie they were referencing.

I don't know....I think some of the great episodes are the episodes with messages. Like the one where the guy who was anti-smoking was eating like burgers up the ass (health problems just as widespread as cancer of the lungs).

But I do agree with you, sometimes the messages detract from the story and dialogue from the kids, which are the best scenes of the show.
Zebrahead

The parody with the chants/sacrifice was based on a mixture of Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery" and Children of the Corn.
Zebrahead

Finally they got back on track. This episode was a lot better. The Heavy Metal parody and all the "Cheesing" shit was great.
Feern
I thought it was the right set of a message and good old crazy shit.

Loved it.
lob
dude he's cheesing his goddamn balls off
ErrorDante
After last weeks sub-par episode I was pleasantly surprised at this weeks show. It was quite hilarious from start to finish. The segments when Kenny and Kyles dad were high via Heavy Metal style drawings were fucking gold. Loved the animation style and the music, it was just genius.

Really liked it, good shit it was.
merriweatherpostpavillion
Yeah I think we're all in agreement that last night's episode was great. South Park usually has at least one episode in each season that really stands above the others, so far it's this one.

I thought it was really funny how Cartman was keeping all those cats in his attic. It was kinda weird, but hilarious nonetheless.

I got that.

When it cut to Kyle's dad and Kenny wrestling in the sand box i lost it
Da Bears
I thought the new one sucked. I did like Cartman's antics though. Oh well.

merriweatherpostpavillion
The question is: Would any of you cheese if the experience was the same?

I KNOW I WOULD SHIIIIIIIIIT
Zebrahead

And then another slightly mediocre episode.

It was like 4chan South Park style.
merriweatherpostpavillion
Everything about this episode sucked except:
The showdown between the Youtube stars
The couple saying "I can do you in the butt now and god won't be mad"

Other than that, I thought it sucked. The whole episode seemed awkward.
Himura Kenshin
What what in the butt.
Loveless Aardvark
I'm not your fwend, guy.
Himura Kenshin
I'm not your guy, buddy.
Trogdor the Burninator
I thought it was hilarious.
Da Bears
The new one wasn't too bad. I guess I just crave too much Cartman.
merriweatherpostpavillion
God I loved the new episode. Any episode that mostly features Mr/Mrs Garrison and Cartman is always great.
Zebrahead

That was pretty funny. Cartman episodes are always good.

WTF at the Fievel Goes Penis scene though.
ErrorDante
I thought it was a pretty hilarious episode.

Erm...they've been doing that since season one. There's only a handful of episodes without any messages. Maybe you just don't like South Park.

Holy shit a Randy episode tonight. Has the potential to be awesome, or at least it sounds awesome.

Original Air Date: 04.16.08

One day the citizens of South Park wake up and find the internet is gone. When Randy hears there may still be some internet out in California, he packs up his family and heads west.
merriweatherpostpavillion
Delivered, but it could have been better IMO. Regardless, funny episode. The porn skits were hilarious.

Wasn't my fav eps, had some funny stuff, and one hilarious sequence.

MMmmmmhhhhh yea!

The Randy being covered in jism scene had me and my girlfriend busting out. That was it though. This episode really disappointed, especially after the cheesing ep and the stand and deliver ep.

It was actually spoofing Grapes of Wrath.
