Long story short, somehow mine fell out of my coat pocket and someone must have picked it up.....I had a first generation nano...only 2 gigs.

I like the new nanos....mainly because they can play videos.

I also like the Itouch...anyone seen/own one of these? How does the internet work on it? It says wi fi, but I don't even now what that means...so basically all these stores I see that say wifi on them I'll be on the internet there? Also is this the same type of signal sent from wireless routers? (I have a DS and I don't know how to get that on the internet either....>_>)

I'm open to non apple brands also.

I recently lost my first-gen Nano also. I'm thinking about going with this one: SanDisk Sansa e280 8gb.

It has a lot of features the Nano doesn't, FM Tuner, voice recording etc.
But the best one I think is that it can be expanded with microSD and microSDHC cards, the largest of which is 8gb for $80 so you can double the size of the player easily.

I stopped using my Nano a long time ago. Like I used it a lot the first year and afterwards usage just declined. A month ago I accidentally put it in the washer, bad idea.
So with that said I might just buy a really cheap MP3 player like this.

you can get 8GB SDHC cards for like $30-35, i've got one in my cowon D2

a 16GB one goes for about $80-100ish now

they have 32GB ones but they're still expensive as fuck

I have this MP3 player, it is SO much better than the Nano. In fact, I bought a nano, returned it to get this one.

I mean, the new nano does support video a lot better than this thing, but I really like this player. Good battery life, extremely easy to use, and durable.

The biggest downside though, somehow dust gets under the screen! Extremely easily as well. Holy crap is my screen speckly... makes it hard to read in the light, so sometimes I have to shadow it with my hand.

Damnit they don't sell them up north! I want to play with one just to try it out.
