Okay, so for a while, I've had virtual memory issues. Virtual memory would run low, then eventually I'd run out and have to restart. It was a mild nuisance, but I never really paid much attention to it. Eventually, when I was doing anything, I'd start to get a random little box in the upper left hand of the screen with scrambled graphics in it. If I moved around the mouse, the little distortions would change wildly and so forth. After a few moments, my computer would seem to turn off (screen go black, power saving thing pop up), and the last few seconds of sound would loop ad infinitum.
Today, I decided to go on heavy cleaning detail with compressed air, hoping that it was just the fault of some dust. Removed the card, etc, etc to clean up the fan on it. So, after this, I pop it back in and my screen starts to artifact crazily upon startup. I log on to WoW (lolzzz), and nothing is rendering. Lines are flying around in every direction, scrambling idly. It was somewhat blinding, lawl. So, after this, I start to play around with things, trying to find a different driver or something of that sort. Well, after a driver change, my computer no longer has 3d acceleration/directx support, apparently (lolwut), and I still artifact unless I turn down acceleration.
I assume I have to get a new card, but I just want to check. Thanks.
EDIT: I might be wrong about what I call artifacting, but weird little boxes appear all over the place when I load up my shit. If I have acceleration on normally, there are crazy lines around icons and the mouse. I'm stupid with computers.
