So a few of my close friends have gotten video IPODS in the last year or so....but they still haven't figured out how to put their videos on ITUNES/IPOD.

Like for music you simply go to open, import file...and bam it's in your library, drag and drop into your device.

But why isn't it the same for videos. Like my best friends little sister recently got a nano...we went to the "my videos" section but the screen came up all black (like normally where it shows your music).

Another friend of mine said he couldn't get the soudn to work on any of the videos he tried

I've heard you have to convert the files or something? I don't know exactly what to do. If anyone knows how to make this process simple, I appreciate any information you can give.

1) Download this
2) Install and convert the file you want to iPod format.
3) Drag into iPod/iTunes

It's retardly simple, why Apple couldn't have set the entire thing up themselves is beyond me.
