Well just hearing this news moments ago I'm shocked. I thought he would do one more go around because it seemed like the future was bright and everyone wanted to make Sean Taylor even more proud by going farther in the playoffs.
Now that it's sort of set in for me, it is better for the organization. As much as I love and adore Gibbs for what he's done in the 80's and early 90's, he hasn't been calling the plays. What he does as far as game management, in the last few moments of a ballgame has been really bad.
Hopefully there will be some continuity. I think Gregg Williams is a talented defensive guru and would like to see him succeed. If it isn't him I wouldn't mind Bill Cowher. He's probably the most likely candidate in my mind. I also wouldn't mind a young coordinator in the NFL but right now I can't think of a guy like that. Maybe Rex Ryan from Baltimore but Williams has proven himself this season and in the past.
