When word first got out about a new American Gladiators, I was pumped. It was one of my favorite shows when I was a little kid. However, they started airing the commercials with actual footage, and it looked like they changed too much and it would suck.

I turned it on tonight for the heck of it, and damnit, it's fucking awesome. It's so ridiculously over-the-top, complete with slow-mo music montage replay, like I'm watching a bad sports movie. The dialogue is just as corny as the original show and the new events are all pretty cool. They changed the Eliminator a lot and it looks a lot more grueling.

So in last Sunday's showing, the first airing, did anyone else crack up at the black chick who couldn't get up the ramp with string in the Eliminator? She just hung on for like 2 minutes her body dragging. She had like a 1.5 minute lead and still lost.

Actually Time Warner started to distribute these new DVR's (my old roomate and my brother just got them) and the format/design of the guide button is fucking terrible. it's all bright blue...not appealing to the eye at all. Plus everything functions super slow and delayed...luckily I still got the old one.

The rock climbing guy for the red team was amazing. Even the chinese guy was fucking amazing, they both destroyed the eliminator. Too bad Son (china-men) had to face the red guy because he beat the eliminator in 1:30. And he schooled Wolf on the rock climb chasing event.

And once again the girls provide endless laughter during the eliminator...both struggled so hard to get up the ramp at the end. The one girl was like I played football but she was winded so quickly. I love this show.
