Bowls coming up, but stuff happening nonetheless.

WVU's Rich Rodriguez is now the head coach at Michigan. I honestly don't know too much about the guy, but WVU has definitely become more of a national contender during his tenure. Discuss.

13 OSU juniors have registered interest in the NFL draft. I think it was more of a "hey, check this out" rather than an "I can't wait to GTFO", but it will be interesting to see how things pan out after the National Championship. Discuss.

Appalachian State won the D-1AA National Championship for the third year in a row. Discuss.

Zebrahead smells. Discuss.

FUCK!

3 coaches I was scared of, Schiano, Meyer, and Rodriguez. Damnt! Hopefully the retard still plays a 3-3-5 defense against the Bucks....

I'm so pissed about this....Ohio States blue chip recruit, Terelle Pryor wanted to go to OSU for football and possibly basketball. His ony other schools he was interested in were WVU and Florida. (he's a 6-6 220lb QB by the way)

Florida was out because of Tebow, and WVU was a good shot because of Rodriquez's speedy offense and with huggins as bball coach...

Now Rich left WVU and went to Michigan. WVU's old bball coach also went to Michigan basketball, and now Pryor, who never considered Michigan before added Michigan to his schools of interest...FUCK! I WANTED A VINCE YOUNG!

Hopefully OSU is still number one on his list.

Pryor might come to Oregon. Just watch. wink.gif

He told a couple coaches to "run the Oregon play" in workouts.

Keep dreaming Zeebs. If an athlete like that wasted his talent at Oregon that'd be sad. No offense, but Oregon hasn't built up a rep like some of the other schools out there. But however I will say this, Oregon has a good offense for a blacky like Pryor. I hope he just thinks it through and looks what Troy Smith did recently.

And FUCK RODRIGUEZ! God, I just read some more articles at ESPN and they even mentioned how Pryor called up Rodriguez instantly to tell him Michigan was on his list now...

I'm so sad....

Boekman vs Mallet/Pryor next year.

Then the OSU MICH rivalry will have it's first era of both having black QB's (I'm just guessing b/c seriously has MIchigan ever had a black QB???)....

Henton vs Pryor...god damnt I want Pryor! Henton got a 20 dollar hooker this year....AND DIDN"T EVEN HAVE A FULL 20 ON HIM!

I enjoyed Tressel when he was in an 6-1....but here comes a Michigan era...I predict OSU to go 1-3 in the next four years....next year being their win while Mallet's still in or Pryor is young...after that Pryor is going to own us sad.gif

Edit: If he goes to Michigan I"m going to be so fucking pissed and I will hold a personal grudge against Pryor! Not only is Michigan stealing all of Ohio's good recruits to compete with OSU, but now they are stealing our out of state recruits! We cheered his name this year when OSU made the comeback against Wisconsin! WE CHEERED HIS NAME! 100,000 + strong in a college stadium for a high school student! ANd it was a great game!

I'm pretty sure going to a school where you can possibly be a 4-year starter and work with a hot offense is the exact opposite of wasting talent. You don't need to be in (and lose) the national title game every year to do that.

emot-eng101.gif Don't bring us all down here son.

I agree to a lesser degree though. Oregon has proved they are capable of running with the big schools, and I'm looking forward to seeing them the next few years. About time someone made USC sweat a bit this decade. However, when you're the country's #1 recruit and the NFL is already salivating, you're more likely to go to a factory school like OSU or Michigan.

LoL I'm sorry but you have to agree with me somewhat.

Your offense is hot....WITH a good qb like Dixon. They looked pretty awful without him, so I wouldn't call your offense that hot.

And a player like Pryor is going to want sweet receivers and a sweet o-line. I'm sure ORegon has somegreat players but honestly, did you see how bad Oregon was wihtout Dixon.

I'm about to go on a little rant right now....sorry about this...it's just been bugging me all fucking year long.

I'm sick and tired of people blaming their losses on injuries. now in the case of Oregon, I don't blame them because they aren't a big power school and their strength as a team WAS their QB. And when Dixon was in, they were gods...some players have that affect. Their offense was out of sync clearly without him.

But teams like USC...they blame not having John Booty play against Stanford as why they lost? That's the worst team in the PAC 10....seriously. IF OSU had NO QB starting I'd expect them to beat Minnesota/Northwestern. I am confident enough to say that if OSU had all their backups in, they would still run over the worst team in the Big Ten. How can USC claim they deserve a shot at the NC Game when their defense couldn't stop the worst team in the PAC10?

Not just without Dixon. Top 3 wide receivers are out (Paysinger, Colvin, Jones), #2 RB (basically shared starting time with Stewart), top 2 LBs out, and down to the 5th string QB.

Take the Patriots and get rid of Brady (and his backup), Maroney, Moss, Welker, Stallworth, Vrabel and Bruschi (same positions the Ducks lost) and see if they win a game. It wasn't just Dixon. I don't think people get that Dixon wasn't the only injury the Ducks had this year. He was just the backbreaker.

As far as recruiting goes though, the reason why Pryor is interested is because of Dixon. He didn't finish the year, but he got the word out that dual-threat QBs can hit the big time at Oregon. Honestly, do I think we'll get Pryor? No. But he's very interested and is visiting here soon provided Michigan doesn't snatch him up first. We did already get our man in case Pryor doesn't come though, a 4-star guy named Darron Thomas. He's basically a Dixon clone.
Da Bears
Ohio State is snatching him up! We are the only school he has visited! (please stay on our side)

Yea I Know, the whole injured starters thing was more of directed towards USC and their loss to Stanford.

Speaking of recruiting classes, Ron Zook and Illinois are bringing in another great class.

I'd keep your eye on Lamaar "Flash" Thomas, Bears. Until he signs the LOI he's still fair game for the Illini. wink.gif

I don't know what "the LOI" is....explain.

Also, who is Lamaar Thomas? Just curious.

Here comes the good bowl games tomorrow, New Years Day.

I'm excited to see Florida vs Michigan. If Michigan gets blown outta the water that's sad. I think FLorida is the better team, but you have to have some fire when you're playing Carr's last game, that senior offense better come out to play...I mean you got Hart, Henne, Long, and Manningham.....those 4 should have gone down in the record books at Michigan, instead they have played like pussies in the last 4 years.
kyle
My realistic expectations for the Rose Bowl game tomorrow is 31-24 USC., but I hope I'm wrong.
