Who do you think will win the election, and why?

We don't really even know who's RUNNING yet...but I'm going with Giuliani. He seems like the type of guy America would elect based mostly on a friendly disposition and "get tough" attitude on crime.

I doubt he will win the Republican nomination, the religious right hates him for thinking of gays as human beings and not being opposed to a woman's right to her body.
I think whoever wins the Democratic nomination, Bush is ridiculously unpopular and that will spill over into whoever wins the Republican nomination. And the two front runners for the Republican nomination are pretty bad candidates for different reasons. Huckabee is a fucking idiot who doesn't believe in evolution and I'm surprised anyone is buying Romney's sudden re-awakening as a social conservative considering his track record and the liberal views he espoused as Governor of Massachusets.

I'd like it to be Ron Paul but it's probably gonna be a Hillary v Guiliani ticket. The fact that so many people just hate Hilary will push Guiliani over the edge

The top 3 democrats (in order) are Hillary, Obama, and Edwards.
The top 3 republicans are (in a shocking twist!) Romney, Huckabee, and Giulianni.
I'm sorry, but even though Giulianni is a huge improvement over Bush, Republicans won't nominate a pro-choice, pro-gay-rights politician.

I'm 100% sure Hilary will win.

At this point, I'm thinking Hilary. Personally, I'd like to see Obama take it.

please for the love of god not hilary or obama. Don't know much about the other hopefuls.
Giulianni would get my vote, if i were American, and actually voted.

Obama and Huckabee won Iowa. I'm just happy that Hillary finished third.

I have no idea why you would prefer Giulianni over Obama...or even Hilary.

Iowa doesn't mean whole lot, its a caucus not a primary. Do you know how many people voted in the Democrats caucus there?
http://election.cbsnews.com/campaign2008/s....shtml?state=IAI doubt Huckabee will win the ticket for the Republicans but I really hope he does since he seems to be a bigger retard than Bush.

Yeah, Iowa isn't a sure stop to presidency.
It is also so hard to predict who will win. I mean, it's so early, so much can happen. Look at Thompson, he had all this hype, and some were calling him (including myself) a sure winner for the nomination for the Republican party, and he ended up being a sloth with his drive. Anything can happen. Wait till super Tuesday for a clearer picture.
