Anyone know any good recipes? I wanna try making some real hot chocolate sometime instead of that instant crap.

I don't know. I just buy different kinds if I don't like one.

I was kind of disappointed at the stuff my mom brought home from Starbucks, though. I thought I'd remembered their hot chocolate being really good.

Sometimes I put in a couple of drops of mint extract. If I don't do that I sometimes put some whipped cream on top with cinnamon on it. For some reason cinnamon doesn't seem to dissolve into the drink very well.

I just use milk, cocoa powder and sugar.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say that I usually mix milk and water at about a 2:1 ratio, respectively. It depends on the kind of cocoa I'm using. One time I mixed up some milkwater, though, and we didn't have any cocoa, so I put it in the fridge and tried to convince people to drink my "supermilk" so it wouldn't go to waste. Did not work. But then I drank it. Just watery.

Cayenne pepper is a good thing to add to hot chocolate. I love a spicy hot chocolate.

I'm ghetto, but I just like stirring chocolate syrup into hot milk.

Well I'm looking for a thick ass cup of hot chocolate. Nothing too watery. What is the best recipe for this? I thought about melting actual bars of chocolate.

Thickness'll probably come from the milk, not the chocolate. It also might be too rich, but you could try making it with whole milk or stirring in some kind of cream.

And I have heard of the idea of putting in a little of some kind of pepper to give it kick, but I forgot and have never tried it yet.

I've never made hot chocolate with chocolate milk, but my brother and his friend do it sometimes. They also put whipped cream on cold chocolate milk sometimes. Not really relevant, but I like to make my chocolate milk by shaking instead of stirring. Much like James Bond.

I would imagine you could just reduce the amount of water in it to thicken it up
