brandotron
so i really fucking like this album. like, a lot. wu tang is definitely back.

Not feeling it as much, it's pretty aight though...RZA production is beginning to bore me though.
brandotron
i'm a sucker for anything wu tang that sounds like they actually give a shit. so basically, this, 36 chambers, and a few of the solo albums. motherfuckers can rap, plain and simple.

Didn't listen, I was waiting until I got back to school. Roommate told me it's not good at all, that it's like a RZA/Method collab. Apparently Ghostface has like no lines on it which is retarded. Will post thoughts later.

I'm gonna agree. This album is great, didn't really pick up steam until The Heart Gently Weeps.

Unpredictable is the only song I can't stand, and I think Wolves might be my favorite, followed by Sunlight and Guns Will Go.

Wow, Ghost really doesn't have anything good to say about the new album.
Svyatogornyj
Ghost was pissed at RZA for a while I think because of him initially making the new Wu drop the same day as Ghost's new record. Also some kind of creative control shit. My roommate's been telling me for a while that the RZA has been messing things up.
Ghostface is the sickest member anyway, let him say whatever. I was assuming that's why Ghostface isn't that prevalent on this record.

Yeah, in an interview he was saying that the only RZA can go on record as saying he doesn't owe Ghost money anymore is because he was already taken to court and over it.

A lot of people are saying that the Clan should break away from RZA and do their next album without him.
Svyatogornyj
Maybe, but if that happens it's over for sure.

I don't know about all that, but damn it, I would like to hear the Wu rap over a Kanye beat or something, just for a change.
brandotron
huh.gif Are you kidding? RZA and his production are a huge part of Wu-Tang. Let other producers fiddle around with the side projects and shit, but I don't want to hear any Kanye or Neptunes behind a Wu-Tang track. Fuck that.

I get where you're coming from, but would you rather have a continued all RZA produced Wu-Tang but give up Ghost and Raekwon? I doubt that their problems with RZA would reach that level, but at this point you've basically got the two of them talking a lot of shit on an album the fans have been waiting for (even though you could make the case that their speaking out against it could be an amazing form of marketing.)

Yes. I wasn't too impressed with either of their solo stuff and while it's not like Wu needs to lose any more members but if they had to... eh. Maybe Ghostface needs to speak out about his dislike of the beats a little earlier, perhaps when he hears them, not when the album is out/practically out. Maybe RZA could work with him to perhaps improve the beats instead him just being a little bitch and whining about the shit because Wu isn't as popular as they once were. I get the idea he's just backpedaling to avoid a potential flop because I don't think Wu is gonna hit it off as much as they'd like to, you know? I'm probably wrong but I'm just saying that's what I get from it.

I'd miss Raekwon though... Raekwon's tight.

ANYWAY LONG STORY SHORT SOMEONE FUCKING REUP THIS ALBUM SO I CAN HEAR IT AND STOP TALKING OUT MY ASS

(Really though, no Wu > Wu with kanye beats or some shit, but maybe that was just a bad random name to pull, I kinda hate kanye)
Zombie N-Word
Here Kefkfa

I only mentioned 'ye as the producer because Ghost kept bringing his name up in an interview. He also mentioned that he did say to RZA he hated the beats, he was just outvoted by the rest of the Clan.
brandotron
Boo-hoo. It's the Wu-Tang Clan, not Ghostface Killa featuring the Wu-Tang Clan. He needs to stop being such a bitch. You don't sabotage your own group's album because of internal disagreements.
Trogdor the Burninator
Ghostface sounds weird on laid back beats anyway, he's been a lot better since MF DOOM started producing most of his stuff.

Yeah, that's a good point.

EDIT: I like it.
brandotron
