"A world without nuclear weapons would be less stable and more dangerous for all of us."
This quote opened up a different perspective on nukes. Yes it's dangerous to have them but after all, this is what may have prevented many wars. Of course this is a strong may.
The quote being said by Margaret Thatcher may or may not change your opinion on the statement itself but i digress.

Nuclear weapons, or should I say 'devices', in theory are fine and dandy considering that in that world no one would be crazy enough to actually use them against another country.
The problem is people are crazy enough to use them. So I dissaprove of nuclear weapons, especially considering how powerful they are. Seriously a

Fuck 4km fireball zone, the thing shattered windows in Finland.
Think detonating this thing in Niagra Falls would shatter windows in fucking LA.

The US' most powerful bomb would could send a shock wave around the world 10 times before it dissipates. It would probably shatter windows in China
And yeah Nay on nukes, One person fires a nuke at anyone and we're all pretty much fucked

There will always be some kinda mass killing weapon. Be it nuclear, bio-disease, ect.
I'd much rather be instantly melted than get some crazy bio weapon that makes you puke up your own stomach and shit (like that move "the rock").

I like the idea of Nuclear Weapons in the (very, very, very) rare occurence we'd ever have to fight off an alien threat or some sort of huge asteroid (if that would even work) but otherwise there isn't really a point to them.

Yeah. I completely support the unification of the planet under one rule and the subsequent intense military research to prepare ourselves in case of hostile aliens so that we may defend ourselves. Nothing more, I don't support conquering aliens because we can.

I know this completely divergent from the main topic, but thought of us conquering aliens sounds completely insane. Whether it be us going there and just taking over, or them coming here, us beating their asses, and enslaving them and their world (if it was nearby or we could get there)

I like them as deterrents, I think they have helped keep us from many major conflicts, instead we have these 'little' skirmishes all the time. But that is preferable to a World War, even without nuclear weapons the death toll today would make WWII look insignificant.
But I don't like the fact that if one crazy ass dictator fires one off, or if one fanatical terrorist gets their hand on one and uses them, the world could potentially end.
That Tsar bomb sounds crazy as fuck though, I'd love to see that blow up somewhere in the desert.
