The Batman
Radiohead is doing a webcast right now.

I go to work in an hour and a half.

Suggestions plz
Himura Kenshin
Car wouldn't start, had to get a jump.
Poopington
Go to work you douche bag.
The Batman
No, they can handle it for a while
Grimes
Although I don't know where you work, put yourself in their shoes. You're working and waiting for someone to show up, making work easier or meaning you get to go home. They don't show up, so you're working harder just because they douched out.
The Batman
Man you guys are drags

EDIT: Also, I work at a movie theater, and my job for tonight is to work one side of the theater and rip tickets. There are two sides. Me not showing up on time means that the person from the other side just has to stand at the front door and rip everyone's tickets. It's not hard. I'm not disrupting anything, or else trust me, I would go.

Just say you car was shitting out on you.

Tell them that you had to steal a comic....

Try telling them you have no work ethic.

You're posting a topic about how you're skipping an hour and a half of work to watch a Radiohead webcast. This means that Radiohead > work to you. If something as simple as seeing a concert that you don't even have actual, physical tickets to prevents you from going to work, you have no work ethic.

Your job pays you. They don't owe you shit except for money and following the laws that dictate how they run their business. You aren't holding up to your end of the bargain. If I were your manager, I would fire your ass.

Anyway...whenever I'm late, I use a train getting in my way as an excuse. Then again, I cross 3 train tracks to go to work and am never an hour and a half late.

Where does it ever say I'm skipping an hour and a half OF WORK? PLEASE. TELL ME. WHERE?

I said work was IN an hour and a half. At best I was planning on missing half an hour.

And yes. Radiohead > a fucking minimum wage paying job.

I love how everytime I make a topic I always end up defending myself in them. No matter what. Guess WHAT. You guys are just as irresponsible as I am, so don't even try acting all high and mighty.

I'm pretty sure said webcast will be saved by someone somewhere and subsequently uploaded somewhere

Go to work.
The Batman
Dude I went to work

On time even

I got tired of them just DJing for 15 minutes followed by one song, and then 15 more minutes of DJing.

It was really quite boring, and in hindsight, if I had known that there was just going to be about 10 songs in the span of 3 hours, I wouldn't have even bothered.
Paraphen
When I'm late for work, I tell them I overslept, because that's the only reason I'm ever late for work.

Except back in the day, when I had a job with a variable schedule, and a couple of times I thought I didn't have to work and was like fifteen minutes late.

To be fair, most of us have gotten jobs and learned to hate the person who doesn't show up for his shift because we end up having to cover for them because they're douchebags.

But yeah, wanting to say "Just go to work" makes me feel old.

Well if I worked at my old job, I'd never try this, because that was a job where 2 people closed the store, and if one person didn't show up then you had to close it all by yourself, and in that job, I never did call in sick when I wasn't sick. But while working at the movie theater, there are normally at least 10 people on the job at all time. And people call in sick every. day, yet there is no pressure to cover anyone's shift because we have so many people working at all times, thus why I wasn't worried about coming in. I mean shit, I'm a supervisor, so I'm more concerned with this then the regular employee is and I do have a great track record for calling in sick very little, so it's not like anyone would be pissed if I had done it.

Well firstly, we're not. But that part doesn't matter. You always end up having to defend yourself because you post topics about irresponsible activities. We honestly couldn't care less, but we criticize anyway... and for some reason you cannot take criticism (so, why you post these things, I have no idea) but then you freak out and we make fun of you more, then you get more upset, etc. etc. It's the same thing every time.

Honestly, nobody but you could come up with the best possible excuse because we don't know where you live/how far you must travel to work/who you work with/what they believe/how stingy your boss is/etc. etc. the list could go on forever.

So, honestly, after posting a topic where the basic jist was "hey what can I tell my boss so that I don't have to go to work and I can just listen to a podcast instead" and then you get mad because you have to "defend" yourself when we say you should just go to work?

Dude, you need to man the fuck up or stop making topics.
