First off, theres no doubt they were cheating. They were busted by someone who was an assistant coach when they won some of those rings, and he got bitter and ratted him out. Mangini is a cheater, too, IMO, he just also happens to be a bitter snitch. And the Pats were fined a lot of money, and a draft pick. So yes, they were CHEATING.

They're not now, and havent been this amazing season, but they've built up quite the team in the last year or 2 alone. Take Randy Moss, who i think is the biggest reason they're so good. He hasnt been a significant reciever for quite a few seasons, and he signed with the pats because he knew they were winners, having 3 rings already. Hell, moss even took like a 2 or 3 million dollar paycut. Same with Jr Seau. He was actually going to retire, but he signed with the pats. Because they were winners. But im pretty sure they were doing the whole spygate thing way back then, thus building the dynasty with cheating. So now, they're the shit. Im not a pats hater or anything, i've been a huge Brady fan for years, but i do think theres a big "eh, yeah but..." for the pats if they run the table.

I think they can, but I hope not.

Do I think they can? Absolutely. This is a hell of a football team. Do I think they will? Probably not...their only tough game is the Steelers, sure, but it's always some shitty little team with nothing to lose that knocks off the undefeateds.

He's just the only one smart enough to tape it. Stealing signals is not illegal, only taping them. Most teams change their signals for every game anyway, so I don't see this actually giving them a competitive edge. I they run the table, I definitely don't see it as a reason to invalidate it.

I had a dream two nights ago the Patriots lost to the Cowboys, who they already played. Regardless, COULD THIS BE AN OMEN?

Nothing against Bonds, but nothing has been proven that he DIDN'T cheat. He's always fought it. If it comes out that he did use the 'roids, then he's more douchey then the Pats. The Pats admitted to it. They took their punishment. And then said fuck you to all of the doubters of their past success.

I do think that they can run the table, especially with Bellicheck at the helm. He'll be gunning for it... Even if he tried to sit guys late in the season, like most teams would do to gear for getting to the Super Bowl, the Pats team wouldn't let him bench the starters. If they get past Pitt, which is the only team that can really give them a little trouble, but still nothing compared to the Colts, running the table should be fairly easy. The Giants aren't great, and the rest of their schedule looks nice.

It should also be pointed out that it's probably great that they got snitched out early in the season, rather than midway through. Had they gotten to the Colts game before this coming out, THEN it would be tainted beyond recognition, no doubt.

Their past success is tainted in my mind, no doubt whatsoever, and actually, so is their current and future success. Think about it; all their super bowl wins were by 3 points, and so were a lot of their big playoff wins... knowing exactly what defensive scheme the other team is running is enough to get you into field goal range. And signal stealing is not the same thing; thats an actual talent and skill that someone has to learn, and not every team can do it. Theres no camera whatsover in signal stealing.

Anyways, the Pats never ran up the score because their best offensive player was Brady, and once you get into the red zone where there isnt as much room, he couldnt punch it in with those recievers. Hell, i bet if the Colts knew what the defense was running, they'd have been blowing people out of the water for a long time, as their offense has always been better than the Pats up until this year. Now they've built this rep, and can sign superstars for next to nothing because hey, who doesnt want to be on a team pretty much guaranteed to at least reach the AFC Championship game? They want to win, so they'll sign for a paycut and actually shutup and play (Moss and Seau, for example).

So now, they're the shit. Basically, theres no question they are an amazing team and not cheating now, but i think they were able to get to this point by cheating, and i dont think that's any better. If anything, it makes it worse, because now they have this amazing team and will be serious contenders for years to come. Bellicheck built a dynasty alright...
