God damn David West is such a baby. Control your fucking temper. Every call on the Hornets, especially on him, in the third quarter was legit. I hope his back is blown out enough he can't play in game 7. The Hornets can beat the Spurs without his 4-14 shooting, crybaby self. If the Spurs do win, I don't know if I'll watch the NBA playoffs anymore. I'm so sick of the Spurs. They are boring to watch and I dislike every player on their team, especially Parker and Bowen.

Just about every game is a blow out. Hopefully shit goes back to normal in the conference games.

Fuck the Celtics for beating my Cavs. Hopefully We'll come back strong again next year.
So its Celtics Vs Detroit in the East. I fucking hate the Pistons...so I'll have to root for the Celts in that series.
Lakers vs Celtics in the finals could be cool.

Anyone really surprised the Spurs pulled that one off?
...Yeah, me either. Ugh. I swear if it's Spurs-Pistons again in the finals I'm boycotting it and next season.

Right behind you Zeebs.
Fortunately I think the Lakers should win, but the Pistons do have a good shot at being Celtics (I think they will win) so hopefully the spurs dont beat the Lakers.

That Lakers comeback last night was amazing. If there was any doubt that Kobe was the MVP, he just shut all of them up.
Of course he should have a few of those awards right now. I don't like the guy or the Lakers, but Kobe's the greatest basketball player in the world today. Easily.

It's bad when I wish Parker or Ginobli an injury, but I'm so fed up with the Spurs. They're everything the NBA isn't! They are old, boring and slow. The hornets were fresh and fun to watch! I think this will be the last year we hear much about the Spurs. Maybe it's just wishful thinking (actually I know it is), but I'm thinking the Spurs have cashed their last check. The West is beginning to get much more balanced, although the Suns will suck from now until ever. COOOOOME ON LAKERS!

The Suns will still be good, we just won't have reason to speculate they can win a title.
But yeah, I'm going for the Celtics. Fuck the Spurs and Lakers, they're my two least favorite teams.

I don't see how you guys could root for the Celtics.
I will admit they have a cool team. Pierce, KG, Ray Allen are all three great players that have had garbage around them for their whole careers for the most part. I'm happy they are having success and on the Celtics makes it even cooler.
But at the same time it's total bullshit the way they just bought their team. Kevin McKhale giving up KG for Al Jefferson...are youf fucking kidding me? That's a bullshit trade and it was McKahle giving away the best PF to his old team as a favor. They basically bought their team.
They can win it next year or the year after....but not their first year as a team. It's just not fair how they got KG for nothing. Teams have been throwing great players for KG for a while and the Wolves never gave him up.
I want Kobe to get one ring without Shaq to shutup all the retard critics.
I will say this about Kobe however, all the ESPN writers and analysts saying "Oh he's so calm, he's so friendly....this is the kobe we've been waiting for, MVP kobe" etc etc etc....
Kobe hasn't changed for shit. He's still the cocky motherfucker that doesn't care about his teammates. He just happens to be winning so he ain't opening his mouth. But he's still an awesome player, I'm just saying he's still the same whiny cocky bitch.
You can't measure a man (a man who has been bitching from last year to the first two weeks of this season) when he's winning. He just finally realized Bynum was a beast, and then they got Gasol for nothing.
If you can't tell I'm a little bitter...KG for al jeffferson, Gasol for Kwame Brown....the Bulls offered way fucking better players for those two.
But I stillstand by my opinions as being legit.

I still haven't seen any reason why the Lakers will win this series. They barely won at home so unless they shape up tonight, they'll go down hard when the series returns to Boston. I love this series so far though because it doesn't consist of the Spurs or Pistons. It would've been nice to see the Hornets, but oh well. They'll be a team to be reckoned with in the coming years.

Why do you act like Al Jefferson's a bum? 21 points, 11 rebounds a game at 23 years old is pretty damn good. As a matter of fact, they're
better numbers than Garnett who has the benefit of playing with Ray Allan and Paul Pierce. He's only going to get better.
The Timberwolves got Al Jefferson, Sebastian Telfair, and Ryan Gomes (all have great upside, especially Jefferson) and two first round draft picks for a player who got the Timberwolves out of the first round of the playoffs once in 12 years. It wasn't the lopsided trade you or the media make it out to be.

THose player suck balls, I don't care what you say. You don't give up the best PF in the game hwo is still producing for anyone.
That would have been like the Lakers giving up Kobe for a bunch of future talent...fucking retarded.
ANd those aren't bad numbers by Al, but he's also the only player on that team that is worth half a shit. So I expect him to be getting those types of numbers. And once again, he's still no KG and probably will never be.
Also don't try to compare KG's numbers with AL Jefferson's. You say he has the benefit of playing with Pierce and Allen....yea that's a benefit as a team, that same benefit is going to hurt his numbers. All three of those players are used to being the number one scorer on the team. They've all taken statistical hits, so don't say they have a benefit when comparing numbers. Paul Pierce is below 20 points for the first time since 2000. First time KG has been under 20 points since 1998. ANd last but not least, Ray Allen's first year under 20 points since 99. So don't start trying to compare JEfferson's numbers with KG's because they are in different leagues when it comes to playing basketball and being a winner.
Bottom line is, you don't give up one of the top players in the NBA for scrubs. The guy has been averaging 20+ and 13ish rebounds forever. He's even a pretty damn good passer. That combined with his focus and passion for winning and being a team player, it makes him one of the best in the league. Don't even seriously say to me JEfferson, Telfair, and Gomes are worth for KG....they didn't get anywhere near the talent from Boston that made that trade fair. I wouldn't even give up KG for Paul Pierce with Telfair/Gomes, nevermind Al JEfferson.
I guess what I"m getting at is, Jefferson isn't a bum, but that's still a bullshit trade and he's not worth a quarter of the value of KG. Kevin McKahle hooked up his old team.

Dude Al Jefferson is already a monster averaging 20-10 seasons, and is going to get even better. The Celts got a good short term deal for KG, but the Wolves have their superstar for the next 10+ years if they don't trade him.

anyone looking forward to the draft? i would imagine bulls fans are other than the torture of having to pick between derrick rose and michael beasley

Go go gadget Derrick Rose.
I don't want Beasley, not torn at all in this decision. Bulls have plenty of scorers..
Not to mention Beasley was listed as like a PF at 6 9 or 6 10, apparently now he's closer to 6'7 or 6'8. The bulls are fine with Deng and Tyrus for the 6'8 and 6'9 players.
They need a PG, Kirk is good, but kind of overrated. his defense isn't as good as once thought.
Tiz
Jun 25 2008, 06:58 PM
yeah it wouldn't really make sense for them to get beasley, point guards like rose are rare and they could probably use hinrich as trade bait since i think he only has one or two years left on his contract
now the bobcats also have the 20th pick because they traded a future first rounder to the nuggets, but a yahoo article said it was because they were impressed by roy hibbert and wanted to get him. please no
guess this topic is as good as any for the free agent bidding that will be going on
it looks like baron davis verbally agreed to become a clipper, so if the clippers can keep both elton brand and corey maggette that team will be pretty scary with the addition of eric gordon
