Who here belongs to clubs/gangs/groups and what groups?
I got invited, along with some members of my family, to a few motorcycle gangs (even though I don't own a motorcycle). Hell's Angels is the big one, and I'm thinking of joining. It's really the choice of if I want to settle down, or go out guns-a-blazin'. There's also the various detroit gangs and crotch rocket riders that I've been invited to over the years.
My brother's brother (don't ask) was in the masons and thusly told us all kinds of crazy shit.
What gangs/clubs/organizations and whatnot have you been in (or do you want to join)? Just curious.

Various music organizations. No guns, motorcycles, violent initiations, or general badassery, sadly.
My grandpa on my mom's side was a Mason, I'd be interested in some of the secrets if you're willing.

Well, from what my bro's brother told us one day when he was shit wasted. Masons pretty much quietly control everything. He said the second he'd walk into his house they'd call him. Almost like they have cameras in there and shit.

I heard a great story about them trying to invade/attack Britain the other day. The rain was pishing down so hard they couldn't set fire to the ships they were trying to destroy in a harbour and most of them were fed up and fucked off down the pub instead. Men of sense I think. Come here, have a few beers and go back home. Clearly led by a Scotsman!
As for clubs, I used to belong to a duelling society. Does that count as a gang? Learned how to wield a single handed broadsword which is always useful.

What exactly is the point of gangs? I could understand if you don't have friends, have a bad home life and want to belong, etc, etc but if you have friends or a family, what exactly is the benefit. Do they rob people, do you get paid, what is the point?

I know a few SHARPs that said they would take me under their wing, but I don't really get into all that oi! oi! shit.
That, and I don't live in a particularly racist area, so it kind of has no point anyway.

If they quietly controlled everything, wouldn't they know that he told you their secret and thus punish him in some way?

I was in the Macho Nachos in third grade. We were in a bitter rivalry for the playground with the Raptors.
One time I threw a woodchip/rock at Ben Bunyard and it hit Kimberly (Can't rember her last name) and she told the teachers and we all got into trouble.

I remember in 6th grade when they told us we couldn't hang in groups bigger than 3 on the play ground because any more would be considered a gang...
