I've found that hubs aren't nearly as reliable. They aren't as quick to release, almost never have properly tagged albums nor are the rips at any respectable quality (try finding an entire album at V0 or FLAC), and don't have nearly as large of a selection.
If you can direct me to a great music hub I'd be all for going back to DC++, but for now I really only use it occasionally.

Because I hadn't seeded anything, then I restarted the computer and didn't even have bittorrent running, and somehow I've got 10.01 GB uploaded. I'd ask on their forums, but I don't want to run the risk of them realizing their mistake.

I think they're giving it to everyone to encourage more downloading. I got it too.
