I doubt it. They had close to 200,000 users across the entire globe. Those lawsuits would take decades (if not longer) to sort out and go through.

They might take some legal action against donators or the ridiculous users with terabytes of upload or download, or possibly the users responsible for some of the early leaks of albums.

I only downloaded like one thing off of Oink since they delete accounts if you don't use them for awhile, but it sucks for people who use them.

I have personally started using Amazon's download service, it's cheaper than iTunes, has higher quality and can be played on anything, there is no DRM.

Still though, I'd like an alternative for the music that Amazon doesn't have.

But you can understand how...Bob OiNK thought he had a lot more time, really, since it was a little bit of a classier site that not everyone knew about, and if you did--you might not even know how to get an invite. I've pretty much relied exclusively on oink for the past couple of years for the tasties that it provided. I pretty much completely at a loss as to where I'm going to get my music now

Never used OiNK. Never had a problem finding anything I need on DC++.

No no, not a chance. Sure, I can buy Demon Days at HMV or Sunrise or whatever, but where the hell do I even find out that some random mixtape made by Damon Albarn exsists? OiNK has so much to offer in terms of hip-hop colaborations that you just can't find anywhere other than OiNK itself.
