For me it depends. When I was living with other people I wouldn't do it, but now that I live alone I have no problem pulling the 1 L carton of orange juice out and drinking straight from it. How do you feel about this issue?

It depends. Basically, whether or not I use a cup is determined by whether other people will drink from the same container, not the size of it. So unless it's a bottle of something only I like, cranberry juice for instance, I generally end up using a cup because I have roommates.

Gross, but only because I live with people.
If it's like the last cup full of milk or something, I'll drink it from the carton

oh also I don't do that with Milk because jugs of milk usually end up with dry crusty milk at the top and that's weird and unpleasant to drink.

I'm the only person in the house that drinks orange juice so I take that stuff to the head constantly.

If it's towards the end of the container (not counting milk as stated earlier), of course I will.

I drink out of the bottle if its something I bought for me.
...or if no one is looking. Oh well.

This is the logic I use but only if I only want a quick drink. If I want to sit somewhere I pour a cup.

Oh and for the record, I do it anyway even if I live with people, but I have the courtesy to not put my mouth (or anything) on the carton/spout/whatever. It's pretty easy. I'm more of a "hey, I'm thirsty *open the fridge and take a swizzle*" because I like to just have one big drink or a couple gulps of something as opposed to an entire glass. Plus I fucking hate doing dishes, so why dirty extra ones?

I fucking miss the bags, all they have out here are Cartons and I find them inconvenient and vastly increase the risk of drinking spoiled milk, which is no picnic.
that being said, if I'm with my family at home I will, the shit I have here is mine and no one else should be drinking it so I usually just dirnk it out of the carton, unless I'm having cookies or some shit and I want to dunk them. And depending how drunk we are, a bottle of liquor may or may not be passed around for everyone's enjoyment

Yeah. Usually I have my own milk (only one in my family to drink 1%) and anything else is usually mine. Here at college I don't have any problems at all with it.

rarely. if i need to wash down some pills or something, i'll usually take a swig of something. water sometimes doesn't work if they taste rather nasty.
