This isn't a general election year, and so for many people, you're just voting for state assembly or the state senate. Maybe if you're lucky you vote for a governorship.
I have to get an absentee ballot if I want to vote, and as this month goes on, I'm just getting too lazy to do it.

No. I don't really know anything about politics. I would almost definitely vote democrat, but I'm not going to vote at all without looking into crap.

Absolutely. Your state and city representatives affect you in much more direct ways than the president does.

I don't vote for anything.
The only way I could make a decision about a candidate is by looking at their previous history in office and seeing what laws they voted for or against, but I don't know where to find that information. If someone could direct me to a website I might end up voting, otherwise I'd rather not. An uninformed vote is probably worse than no vote at all.
But even then, there might be some issues that I'd disagree with the candidates on but which they might still be right about, seeing how I don't follow politics and won't grasp the full consequences of voting for or against some law or other.

As for me, I'm voting on everything I can. Phoenix is expanding so fast, it's already one of the largest cities in America. You'd be surprised with the fucking ton of bad legislation people are pushing.

Uh, I will, assuming we're having one here. I'll have to go check on that.

I'd vote for a collapse of our government but aside that, no. I might if it didn't put me in a pool of jurors.

www.votesmart.org usually has information about that kind of thing. Unless you live in a big city, it probably won't have your city officials, but it'll have your state reps and such.

I leave politics and ballots to the people who actually care about them.

I won't vote this year since I don't care enough. We'll get fucked over by just about anyone in office anyway.

It's compulsory here and yet I still wont come December. I haven't enrolled to vote yet and don't really plan to for a while. It's big fines if you miss an election and with the traveling I want to do, postal votes are a pain in the ass.
Also the guy I want to win looks like he has a pretty good chance anyway.

I do want to vote in my city's elections but I'm having trouble finding the time to get down to somewhere where I can figure out if I registered to vote already or not. I thought I sent the mail thing out but maybe that was just the draft.

How am I a sheep if I don't vote for any politicians? I'm no use to them if I'm not a voter.
I pay attention to politics, sure, but they don't concern me enough to vote for them. The real sheep are the single-issue voters and the people who are forced to decide between a few stupid leading candidates and a bunch of small-timers who may appeal more to certain issues but won't win anyway.
You can call me a Prole because I don't vote and care more about sports, but there's a method to my madness, and it's based more on disgust than being apathetic.

You're of more use; you're one less person to convince. Now, they can walk all over you, and you haven't had your say.

Well so far that hasn't really bothered me all that much. I'd think politicians would be much more concerned with getting votes from people who are easily swayed.

Eh...I agree that it's stupid to not vote. I agree that Zebrahead should care more. However, I wouldn't say that. The kind of sheep politicians love are the kind that vote blindly based on party, or vote based on a stance on a single issue. Sure, his not voting makes it one less person to convince or persuade, but it also doesn't benefit them in any major way.

Yes, but they come down to >50 votes for local ones probably.
