Yessir, this movie delivers. Christian Bale and Crowe seem to be competing for my worship (and I haven't even liked Crowe since LA Confidential), and damn is it good to see a western on the big screen. I would love it if Alan Tudyk could go a movie without getting killed, but he was good as always.
By the way: never get into a fight with Russell Crowe.
Anyone else see it? Thoughts on that cameo?
I wanted to see it this weekend as I have a ridiculous mancrush on Bale but only Shoot 'Em Up came to my theater. I might try and see it next Friday, but this was probably for the best as I was going to rent and watch the 50s version first. Bale is the man though.

I saw it last week and I enjoyed it. Kind of surprised I liked Crowe, too - like you said I haven't really liked him since LA Confidential. Didn't really care for the ending too much but it didn't detract.
I DVR'd the 50s version last night, might watch that later today.

I liked it a lot. Russell Crowe, Christian Bale, and Ben Foster did a real good job.

The theater here is only showing Superbad and Underdog and the nearest theater showing it is an hour away.

so uh, i saw this for the first time and it was fucking great
my only real question is... what was that thing that dan held through the movie, and then gave to his son towards the end?
it looked like a coin, but i couldn't really recognize what it was
