So I don't have access to a gym right now and was looking for a good workout regimen of bodyweight exercises and I was actually about to come here and ask you guys about it but I ran across this book on oink and it seemed like exactly what I needed. All sorts of bodyweight exercises of varying intensity for all areas of your body. From neck to chest to legs to wrists (as if I need that

) it's just a great reference so I thought I'd share it.

Thanks, I'll look it over tomorrow. I'm not in the greatest shape, but I like to learn about fitness.
If you've never seen it, the two workouts on
http://trainforstrength.com/workouts.shtml are pretty good when you don't have access to equipment.
And I recently read (or skimmed, anyway) The Naked Warrior, which basically just preaches in favor of pistols and one-handed pushups.

Took me longer than anticipated to check it out, but there's definitely some good stuff in there.
I haven't had the time lately with school to go to the gym (well, I could, but I only like to go late at night when there's nobody there, so I don't have to deal with people or wait around to use shit), and I spent the last several months putting on about twenty pounds, and having stopped working out the last few pounds were definitely fat. So I feel weird and gross, having never had any bodyfat to speak of till now.
Also with all of that weight I put on my actual strength gains were minimal, so I feel ridiculously weak for my size. Which is still small, but it's big for me, at 170 and about six foot one or two.

I was 150 at my peak and I'm back down to 140. It's ridiculously hard for me to gain weight so I'm going to wait until I have some money for protein and creatine to really start working out but until then, I'm just doing push-ups, squats, dips, and v-ups. Just keeping myself from atrophying entirely.

Yeah, it was pretty killer for me for a while. I was just eating a shitton, really. And once or twice a week I would supplement my intake with a meal of fast food, which added a couple thousand calories on for those days. Once I stopped working out, though, I started to feel like crap. If you're keeping active you can definitely make it work, but then when I stopped working out is when I put on a little bit of fat.
Also, the last week or so I haven't been gorging myself, and my weight's gone back down to 165. I'm not sure if it'll be worth the extra money for food to keep my weight up. But I'll at least put on a few pounds to make it easier to gain strength, and then probably cut down late in the winter.
I've never really bothered with protein, and never tried creatine. Well, I get a buttload of protein from my diet, anyway. Pretty much all I drink are milk and water (and a little tea), and milk has ten grams to a cup. And I eat a lot of meat and bread, etc.
Also, I've never tried v-ups, but I'd be very surprised if I could do any, if they're what I'm thinking of. I've done hanging leg raises a few times, but I suck at those. Actually, it hurts my left shoulder, which I dislocated a few times, to hang, so I don't spend much time on that.
Anyway, I've only been working out like once a week, so I definitely need to put together a little routine of this stuff.
