It was great, except for the fans. They played "What a Wonderful Life" and "They Provide the Paint...", which made my night.
But honestly, the fans suck.
Suburban Legends is probably the funniest band I have ever witnessed. It's basically a boy band with horns. I was embarrassed watching them. They all thought they were hot shit and seemed like the only reason they were playing music was to fuck little kids.

Yeah, I agree about the fans. There were also a lot of 13-14 year olds which I didn't care for.
I thought SL were pretty good, but they did seem like the might be pedophiles.

That was my consensus when I saw Streetlight open for the Aquabats. So many goddamn little kids and they're incredibly obnoxious and pushy. I had to throw a few of them around, and people were falling all over the place and losing all their shoes.

I don't want to appear to be crazy, but I seriously wanted some of those people to die, especially this muscular dude who while holding his girlfriend, decided to drive his knuckle into my back.

Frank and I are going to be there, too. Error orgy.
Didn't see this post until just now. Yeah, I was there. I saw Franklin.

I love seeing Suburban Legends, so much fun. Streetlight was incredible, as I expected.
I agree that the crowd was fucking insane, but what did you expect from the home town Streetlight show? I just went with it and had a blast. I had about four kids land right on my neck, so the last one I threw and nobody else caught him. He hit the ground so hard, but fuck him.
I also found a kid's cell phone and am mailing it back to him. Getting some cash compensation for it :]

As someone who's into punk bands, why are you not used to this by now?

I've been to tons of punk concerts and death metal shows, and Streetlight was still the most out-of-control and rough show I've ever been to. Their live show fans really are pretty retarded.

I usually go to more underground shows that respect people. I mean, the last R.A.M.B.O. show was fucking nuts and was packed, but I still didn't feel like there were that many asshole there, and everybody tried to get along. Only times I have had issues with shows were with more mainstream acts, but this one was beyond annoying.

The annoying preteens that show up at more mainstream shows are easier to punch in the ribs and/or shove really really hard, and tend to be less confrontational/wanting to start a fight than the assholes I run into at punk shows. I stopped caring about other people at shows except when their enjoyment runs into mine, i.e. painful elbows in my side and or spine. But like, I don't stand for that shit, I straight up give people haymakers at every show I go to because people don't know when to fuck off when I shove 'em.
EDIT: Really though. Haymakers are a godsend.

Oh man, I didn't realize I'd get to toss around a bunch of teenagers. Awesome. I can't wait for tonight.

Yeah so you guys were kinda right. Definitely a lot of young kids. Suburban Legends cancelled though, which kinda sucked. Anyway, I brought a friend with me who usually only goes to hardcore shows; we sorta duo-moshed the whole time. It was pretty fun, but I definitely had to toss people around to keep them from kicking me in the shins and shit.
They did Point-Keasby Nights-Counterpoint which was awesome, and the two aforementioned BOTAR songs. Probably the best concert I've been to. I'm so glad I got to see them live after being a fan for four years.

I think I'll see em in Janruary. Last time I went there were a lot of kids, I remember that, even like, some preteen kids that looked 12, no joke.
I'm 18 now, but I'm 6'1 and tons of fun, and dress to a T. Can't wait to push some little shits off the rail.
