I loved Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and hated Science of Sleep so we'll see where this one takes me. Hopefully it's less of Gondry's masturbatory obsession with his own weirdness.

quoted for truth. Doesn't look nearly as pretentious as Science of Sleep though, which is good. Mos Def needs to be in more movies.

Definitely looking forward to it. I love the premise and I've liked Gondry before (still haven't seen all of Eternal Sunshine), and this looks like a pretty different way for him to go.

Looks funny...I'll watch it.
Although I hate mos def, his acting style is just stuttering....or from what I've seen it is and it gets annoying sometimes....especially in 16 blocks. But I think his character was mentally handicapped in that.

Never seen 16 Blocks but watch Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy or Something The Lord Made (It's a TV movie so I dunno if it is on DVD), he's great in both of those.

Haven't seen either, but heard great things about both of them....

The release date for this keeps jumping around and it's starting to worry me, started with this past summer, then April 2008, then December this year, now late January. Definitely looking forward to this in any case, but knowing when it actually comes out would be nice

I enjoyed it. There were some slow parts (almost unbearbly slow) and Mos Def's weird mumbly way of talking made some scenes kind of hard to watch, but it was good.
And yes, those films would not be good to watch in real life, but for a dollar I think you'd rent at least one.

I would definitely watch those videos IRL.
I enjoyed it a lot. I'm not sure why they didn't develop some of the characters more, but I think it was supposed to be like that. I really liked it is all I'm saying.

I really liked it too and it didn't feel slow to me at all. I thought it was enjoyable all the way through and the King Kong and Robocop parts had me dying. It was a lot of fun.

I think the best part was the photocopied faces for the night scene in Ghostbusters.

Goddamn, my friend and I were dying at that. I really thought the MiB car wheel was cute.
We also loved the tinsel rays for Ghostbusters.
