I just say it how you'd say it in Japanese. De-emphasize the 'ee' sound, and go straight to the 'yu'.

Hard is eye, soft is ee so yeah totally different.

I know it's Ree-yu but I've been saying Rye-yu (rye like the bread) since I was like six and it's hard to shake.

I pronounce Guile as guy-ill. Well, not like "Guy ill", much faster than that, u no wut m sayin
