It's always nice when you walk in and forget it's payday(night). Turns a dull day upside down. Of course $831 isn't exactly anything to be ecstatic about, but it's been just over 6 months and $12 an hour should be heading up to $18 soon. If I ever get this damned project finished, that is.
Zebrahead

I'd be ecstatic over 800+ bones.
Endless
I'd make $400 a week if it wasn't for taxes. :'(
Dagger Jane
wtf. I don't have a job and nate's paycheck is $421. Luckyface.

Haha. Having a job sucks...but having money really doesn't. I've bought a kickass PC, an XBox360, and a car in the last 3 months.

I don't have enough time. I get home every night at about 6 or 7, and need to sleep by about 11, and even then I feel like shit the next day. As much as I'd like financial decisions, I like having a couple hours a day to myself.

Ok...maybe just like $2k

Since we're coyly dropping salaries...

Payday rules. The bad part for me is that I get my check at the start of my Friday night shift, so $635 sits in my pocket until Saturday morning when I get a chance to deposit it and smile at my bank balance.

what sucks is the weeks when I get paid on thursdays and work on friday, because I work until 6 at night so unless I wait in line for twenty minutes at the grocery store bank full of crazy people and idiots that never has a goddamn pen, I can't deposit it until Saturday, if I manage to wake up in time.

I don't know what bank you have, but I have Bank of America. I deposit my check and the first $100 is available immediately. The rest is in a day or two. It's way better than...never being able to go to the bank.

Does your bank have an after-hours deposit slot? If I didn't deposit my checks on Saturdays, I'd use mine, but apparently they only empty it on bank days, so it would sit there until Monday. Usually though, the banks process those deposits first thing the next morning.
Mr. Mojo Risin'
I get paid 6.50 an hour, there are no more tips, and my hours have been getting cut back.

But I really don't care.

Uh after converting to $US I cleared just over 2k for last week. After tax it was something like 1500.

The most I've ever made at Ginos was less than 200 after taxes, though that was less than 35 hours at 7 pretax dollars an hour.

I do 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I haven't worked on Saturday since I left school three years ago. I got paid on a meter rate for the most part. So the more work I do in a day the more I get payed. Although when I am on hourly rate, my rate is $26/h so just over US$20. It's shit work though. I'm working on a roof in 40c heat at the moment.

I'm guessing that's about 108 F... let's see what google calculator says.

104. Still really friggin hot. And it's probably a hell of a lot more strenuous than washing dishes and taking pizza orders =\

Must be why you earn three times what I did.

It's sickening that you like...have to make $20/hr to even think about comfortably living on your own...atleast around here. Fucking $900/month rent for a 1 bedroom place...WTF?
