In all seriousness. This is what should happen.


1. Rules are just guidelines. They should be there but loosely followed.
2. No one should be "perma-banned". Post banned for a day or two is one thing, as some of us freak out and need to chill out for awhile.
3. Mods (as much as I love most of them) need to delete less topics and posts. This is 404, ya know, it's not some serious forums. We're all immature, annoying and dumb. This will never change.
4. Making fun of people should be allowed. This is not some equal garden of eden. This is just like any other largish social group, we have our groups and we choose people to single out and make fun of. If you can't take it (it's fucking online, jesus people), then leave. No one gets picked on all that long anyways.
5. Mods aren't the fucking bosses, they are, if anything, janitors. They clean up the boards, make them neat and tidy, and if someone poops on the sink, they wipe it up.
6. Mods should be switched every so often. People get burnt out, people hold grudges and make friends. It's only fair. It would help make everyone more equal too, as in modship wouldn't be some big prize, it would be more like jury duty.

This place is turning into gamedaily more and more everyday. It just shows how people use power to try to conform the populous. Remember everyone, this should be a board by the people, for the people.

Sorry, feern, but I can't say I agree that we need to change mods up. I dunno...something about that idea just doesn't sound like it would go over very well.

I agree with everything, oddly enough.

Theres not enough posters to do a switch of mods. There'd be like, 3 or 4 switches before people started their second runs. But i agree with most what you said. Especially the mods being janitors. Does this mean we can push them and they cant legally push us back, like at school?

1, 2, 3: agreed
4: Making fun is fine with me, but there has to be limits, give an inch and the trolls will run a mile
5: They may not be bosses but Morm gave them mod powers for a reason, they're generally even handed and will clean up certain things, but, and this ties to 3, i think mods should leave what was said, but post commentary under what was said (unless its like 100 pictures or something) and use warns appropriately.
6: eh, maybe, possibly a mod's name is taken out of a lottery and they can be replaced via election (poll where mod is against candidates approved by morm), but this can't happen too often, like once every 3-6 months maybe.
