I used my friends. The UI is really nice and cool to use, and the browser is the best mobile browser I've seen, but other than that, the phone is really lacking in features and stuff. Like, check out the HTC Mogul, which you can get on Sprint for 30/month with unlimited data, which does way more.
The lack of 3G and user programs really kills the iphone for me. It seems like it could be quite the cool development platform, but they kept it closed, so...
Like, the device doesn't seem to combine features at all. For gods sake, you can't set an mp3 as a ringtone. Like, the most obvious benefit of having and iPod and a phone just isn't there. Not to mention sending a picture in an email is impossible, among other things. It seems like they just said "fuck it, lets not bother" to lots of easy things so they could ship it quicker.

http://www.wired.com/gadgets/wireless/news...07/iphone_hacksFound that site that shows some cool hacks for the iPhone. I'm a huge fan of hacking stuff and changing the interface. *see my PSP*

It's a cool phone, but the lack of gps and use of the Edge network instead of the 3g network on AT&T sucks. Edge is slow unless you have a prefect signal, and even with a good signal, it still has random slow-downs.
EDIT: And, of course, there's the whole $600 price tag thing.

Yeah, basically, if you would spend nearly three times too much on the phone and twice as much per month as you would elsewhere all for a UI, go for it.
But there aren't many other advantages.
