Please tell me I'm not the only who's tired of these?

I understand the NFL wants to protect their QB's and everything, but it's just getting insane. You can simply shove a guy to ground and get called for roughing the passer, like these Quarterbacks will get killed if they just fall to the ground. Sad part about it, it's started to cost people games. I know Cincinnati got screwed out of a win a few weeks because of a bogus roughing the QB penalty, and then the shit last night.

They just need to let the guys play. If someone nails the QB clearly with the helmet, throw the flag. Don't throw it when you shove the guy or barely touch him, if that ends of injuring the QB then he doesn't belong in the first place.

The senior ref explained on the NFL Network about 2 weeks into the season that the reason most peole are getting called for roughing the passer is because their head's down when they make a tackle. The helmet doesn't have to make contact at all, you just can't tackle a QB with your head down.

They're ridiculous. There was some game this week when it got called on a guy because the back of his hand touched the bottom of a QB's helmet. That sack in the Giants/Titans where the guy totally gave up was because he thought the ball was thrown and didn't want to draw a roughing the passer call.

And 15 yards is bullshit.
Da Bears
The new rules are lame.

Justin Smith tackles the bucs QB on their final drive causing him to fumble, and he was got called for a penalty. Didn't make any contact with him above his chest, didn't touch his face...didn't hit him in the knees, hit him perfectly in the body, and they fumbled, instead they got the ball back, in field goal range, and they made the FG to win, it was fucking bullshit.

Can't hit a QB if he throws a pick unless he's about to make a tackle, can't do anything to the QB it seems, fucking getting on my nerves as a footblal fan. Anyone see the one last night? Just as bad.

I partially agree. Really it depends on the Ref, but I'm all for less interruptions.

I say one week of the season we play BLITZ style!

I agree with that, but have you seen some of the calls lately? They're throwing the flag for simply shoving the QB to the ground.

NFL Blitz 2000 is probably the most current game at my local arcade.

My arcade fucking sucks.
Trogdor the Burninator
I'm more concerned with all of this bullshit review and 'pass interference'. Did anyone watch Pats/Bears?
Asuka
Yeah, let the boys play
The President
I would love to see more roughing the passer.
Mr. Mojo Risin'
As a former cornerback, I am disgusted by the lack of contact needed for pass interference now.
The Clown
Make this two weeks in a row somebody had Vince Young wrapped up and let him go because they didn't want a roughing the passer call.
Kele
There's definitely some incosistency. Urlacher got a roughing the passer penalty when it clearly wasn't, and then one of the Vikings hit Grossman a bit worse and didn't get the call. It was stupid.
