Wow. Can't say I didn't see it coming though, it's been a bad couple of years for basketball referees.

Yea I'm still pissed about the whole Robert Horry not getting more shit for fucking body checking Steve Nash.
No real relevance to this story, but I wanted to blame the refs for that.... >_>

The NBA is Faaaantastic!
This will totally curb all those fears that every facet of professional basketball is fixed, from the draft lottery to changing playoff formats mid-season because your wunderteam probably couldn't take a best of 5 on the road.

What a complete disgrace to the league.
Bill Simmons of ESPN I think says it best with his latest article.

I heard about this a few days ago, and it's understandable why every Suns fan in Phoenix is outraged. Everyone said that shit was rigged, and now there's some strong evidence.
If the NBA doesn't act fast, it's going to be fucked next season when fans stop watching.

I wouldn't be surprised if the betting or fixing of games is more widespread than we think. There were so many one sided games in terms of fouls this year, I guess that seed of doubt is pretty much planted now.
Maybe Donaghy will name names.

This pisses me off bc as a Spurs fan I have to listen to more Sun's fans whine about shit. Nevermind the Suns were playing with a 5-7 man rotation the entire year, were generally out coached, or had no answer whatsoever for Duncan.

I think that the Spurs were a better team, but after watching game 2, you have to admit that the Suns had a legit chance. Too bad your team is a bunch of thugs anyway.

I don't think the Spurs are thugs.....
I think of them as the Celtics of the 80s....a hard working team with a great gameplan.
But the Spurs/Suns series this year was bullshit in my opinion.
The suspension of Amare and his back up of Diaw....I thought that was bullshit. Granted that has nothing to do with this whole ref situation so I'd say that series was ref'd well.
was Donaughy even reffing in that series?

Yes. And he was reffing Game 3.
