Awesome fucking movie, the final showdown was sick, although it made me dizzy since I was sitting in the very front.

Luna Lovegood isn't supposed to be hot and heavy.

Great movie, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I though casting was solid, and the music was fantastic. Could have used a bit more time on the scene with the archway, because never once did I think the movie was dragging on. Looking forward to the final book and the next two films.

Possibly seeing it tonight if my girl can make up her mind on this or Transformers....
Gir
I thought it was completely average and progressed way too quickly. I never felt pulled in by the movie. I also never read the book.
Poopington
That seems like a mistake to me. Any book of a respectable length that's turned into a movie should be read before seen.

I thought it was great. I love Ralph Fiennes and Gary Oldman so much. I actually like the new Dumbledore, but the old one couldn't be beat.

Overall, it was very well done, and I wanted to kill that bitch from the Ministry of Magic. And no quidditch?

I know, and this was supposed to be the year where Ron finally joins the team.
Ender Wiggin
I thought it was a great movie rating it on its own, but it doesn't do the book justice at all.

They missed some pretty important elements, like Kreacher stuff and more about the Black family. They rushed through the house in like 5 minutes, I remember they spent like 150 pages just in that house in the book. Could've used a bit more on the prophecy and its importance, and quidditch would've been nice.

Was this the book that went into James's and Snape's past, or is that Half-Blood Prince?
Trogdor the Burninator
I really wish that the Black family stuff was in it more, Sirius is easily the best HP character.

This one, HBP was all about the horcruxes.

Well shit they completely omitted the whole Snape/Lily thing...I figured that might come into play in the 7th book.

Yea if you haven't read the books, I can see your point of view. Even in like the first movie they draw you in, but in this one they start the plot from the get go. Even as a person who has read all the books, I wasn't drawn in it seemed. I think it was because there was no opening feast and no hat scene, maybe it's just me?

And yea, no quidditch with Ron was kind of lame.

I thought the movie as a whole was a perfect mix of humor and action.

Luna was kind of cute which I didn't get, but she did a good job. Her lines always brought a chuckle out of the audience.

And Neville (My favorite character) had some of the funniest parts I've ever seen in any movie....when he held up his fist to Ron during the training scene, I lost it. ALso when he was trying to get out of the way he looked so dumb, great acting by Neville.

This is pretty much how I feel. I remember a half hour in or so, my brother leans over to me and goes "Why are they already on page three hundred?" (since he had just reread the book) I sorta wanted to slap him, but he was right, they skipped over so much. Sorta glad the movie didn't have all of Harry's bitchassness though.

And Luna was really fucking adorable.

I watched it today, and liked it a lot.

I agree with the rushing thing. I think they've rushed all of the Harry Potter movies, though I can understand trying to make them quickly before the characters get too old, and trying to fit them into reasonably sized movies.

I thought Gambon did all right in this one, but I'm still disappointed in his resistance to finding out anything about the part of Dumbledore. He refused to read the books, and hasn't been playing him much like he's supposed to. Harris did a much better job.

All in all, it was rad, but looking back on it I wonder how it filled up two hours plus, because it really didn't seem to lend more than a couple of minutes to anything at all.

What about fuckin Tonks?
