As you probably all know, I am obsessed with pizza. The new thing I want to try is dessert pizzas. A dessert pizza is a regular or specially made pizza dough that's then topped with fruits/sweets...anything considered "dessert." I've only made a couple so far, my best being a sliced granny smith apple/cinnamon & sugar pizza.

Has anyone else ever dabbled with dessert pizzas? I'm trying to come up with new recipes and would love some ideas: the crazier, the better.

Right now I'm trying to find a way to substitute sugar for cocoa powder in my crust to essentially make chocolate pizza dough. Being a big fan of pomegranates, I want to top it with pom jelly/glaze and some other fruits/flavors. Any suggestions would be great!

Haven't done much in the realm of dessert pizzas in the joint I work in, but do you have anything fairly consistent in what you've done so far, such as crust, sauce, or toppings? Are you doing the kind you bake, or just build and eat?

how about something like peaches and some sort of cream cheese frosting

edit: perhaps grill the peaches and add cinnamon and sugar to the frosting

Something makes me thing a Cheesecake pizza would be amazing.

My friend made one for my friend's birthday, and it was fucking amazing. I can't really remember it much because it was last year, but it was crust, then some mixture of stuff to make this sweet white cream, then topped with like 6 different kinds of fruits. Kiwis, blueberries, strawberries, etc. It was awesome...I need to ask that girl how to make that..

When you come up with something, make sure to post the recipe, I'd probably try and make one.

We have a chocolate pizza that we serve at work.

It's a puff pastry base with raspberry preserves and shredded milk chocolate and white chocolate on top. We throw it in the brick oven for a minute or so to melt the chocolate and then top it all off with some banana, kiwi, and strawberries.

It's the best thing ever.

This sounds really good. Can you give me any more details, such as size/amounts? Have you tried anything on it outside the banana, kiwi, and strawberry?

We cut it into 8 square slices, so it is probably around 11"x4". I haven't had anything other than those, but I would think any fruit would be good.

Ive only had a dessert pizza once. It was muy tasty. From what I remember, the crust of the pizza was chocolate chip cookie with some green paste on top. Then there was strawberry and kiwi and probably some other fruits on there as well.

...that's all very vague but whatever
