Alright, so I want to connect my mp3 player to my Logitech surroundsound dock, which I can do. Problem being is that it only comes out the left and right channels and the sub.

So what I'm looking for is an 1/8" jack that will split three ways to connect to a 6-channel direct so that it plays through the rear and center channels as well.

I could buy 2 two-way splitters and 3 male-to-male 1/8" cables, but I Was wondering if there was a cable for it already...

Or maybe I could get a stero > Coaxial converter

Your MP3 player likely only outputs to two channels, and the subwoofer is picking up the low end.

If you just want to output sound to all the speakers, then a stereo splitter will do the job.

I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure a headphone jack is only spec'd to output 2 channels and accept a mic input. If there are six channel headphone jacks, then the port on your mp3 player has to be able to handle it as well.

EDIT:

Yeah, it's only a two-channel jack.

EDIT 2: A bunch of modern stereo systems will emulate surround sound using only the two channels, so you may want to toy around with the different output modes before plunking down cash for a splitter.
