Or am I alll alone?

.
I've been vegetarian since I was about five, mostly due to medical reasons. If I didn't have to be, I would be - It's been one of those things you grow up with being part of 'you'.
Anyways, I love to cook, it is most certainly something of a necessity (I've cooked under a celebrity chef before, albeit not a very famous one) and I was wondering if anyone else here is a veggie too.

Ahoy. 'Bout 4 years for me. I definitely enjoy cooking more now that I don't eat meat and I've been lucky enough to have a grandmother who alters meals for me and a mother who also helped, since when I started I didn't buy any of my own groceries (and now that I'm at college, I suppose I still don't).

I've been giving it some consideration lately. I would have a really hard time giving up meat, though, since I love it. And I could never give up dairy (it's a rare day that I don't drink at least half a gallon of milk), I don't know how vegans manage.
I know from a few times in my life where I haven't eaten meat for as long as a couple of days (really, I eat a LOT of it) that I just don't feel as good when I don't have any. It seems unnatural to the human body, and I feel so empty when I haven't had it for a while.

Well you say you're consuming a shitload so of course it would feel weird when you suddenly stop for a few days.

I used to be, but not so much anymore, and even now it's just hamburgers and tacos in terms of meat.

I'm not a vegetarian but I love the food for it. I always order like Vegetarian pizza and stuff. Even Chinese vegetarian food rocks.

I'm not a veg, because I like chicken and milk and eggs. (And bacon

It could have very easily been a lack of protein. A healthy vegetarian doesn't just quit eating meat, he/she replaces that meat with other sources of proten, ie: beans, tofu, etc.

I could never do it....
Meat is one of the things I enjoy in life...that, sex, and TV....I can't give it up.
Maybe I have a problem, I'll go see a doctor about this addiction of mine.

I could never give it up either. No way. For me, food is a big part of my life. Not because I'm a fat fuck or anything but because I love food, especially meat (ha ha). I know I eat too much of it, but it's so good! Now I eat more chicken than anything else but a couple of years ago it was a rare week if I didn't eat 3-4 hamburgers in it. I'd been known to eat 2 or 3 a day, one for each meal, sometimes. I know that is HORRIBLE and I've since cut down.
I think, though, that it's what keeps me so healthy. I rarely ever get sick and yes, I do drink milk and juice, but not consistently or in large enough amounts to give me such a strong immune system. Whenever I get a cut or bloody nose, my blood runs dark crimson red, sometimes almost purple, from so much iron being in my system from all the meat. I've been told by a nurse that I have some of the best blood she's ever seen.
Yeah, I may get a heart attack when I'm 30, but dammit, I'm gonna eat beef and chicken until then!

I don't know how vegans manage.
They don't, most of them get bone-ravaging vitamin deficiencies and break their legs, hips and arms while performing simplistic activities like lifting and jogging.
I couldn't give up meat. I consume chicken like crazy.

I don't eat any animals except for fish. I'm a pescevegetarian or something like that.

You can do two things when you're vegan: most of my friends just go a little out of their way to shop at Trader Joe's or look for a vegan alternative to whatever anyone is eating, or you can be like the few that just eat fritos and pepsi.

I couldn't deal with it, since I'm at least minorly allergic to most common vegetable protein sources (I'm very allergic to peanuts, which kind of bleeds over into an allergy to any legumes). It's especially frustrating, because my mother is a vegetarian and my sister is a vegan (the angry, card-carrying PETA member kind, at that), which means that there's never any non-vegan stuff I want I have to get myself and hide away so my sister doesn't find it. (If she does, she'll actually throw it out. Annoying as hell.)

I'm so used to eating a big chunk of meat almost every day that I feel empty when I don't have it, even if I eat smaller amounts of meat (which I always do anyway throughout the day).

I ate shark last night. I almost threw up. No more meat of any variety for me. I still do dairy, though. Cannot go vegan at this point, too expensive.
