Uhh, Modest Mouse was never called Ugly Casanova. Ugly Casanova was a much later side project.

I guess it kind of grows on you. It's more mom-rockish than the other albums (minus Good News), if you could even call Modest Mouse mom rock. Which you can't.

I used the expression to explain that their new album is not as intense as the others.. it's safer.

Hahah, I think they're all like that. Maybe you haven't heard a lot of their albums? I have like 10 modest mouse albums on my computer and most of them are what you would call mom rock if you think the new CD is mom rock. lol.

OKAY DUDE, tons of their songs are not mom rock. What about "A Different City?"
That's perhaps my favorite Modest Mouse song. I have heard most of their albums. I'm sorry, but that "Fire it Up" song is so unoriginal it's ridiculous. I'm not saying MM is like, really loud and unusual or anything, but the new album is just bland compared to the others.

On a different note, I found this old Isaac Brock song on Limewire and he must be at least fourteen years old. His voice is so small and funny.

Nobody said Fire It Up was a good song. That's always been my least favorite song on the CD.

Of course I've fucking heard A Different City! Hahah, that's on their best CD. They have much more bland music than just the new CD IMO (which I don't even think is bland for the most part), though, is all I'm saying. lol opinionz
